Recommended Replacement Products Enterasys will continue to sell IPS appliances with 1 Gbps and higher inspection capacity for customers who want an IPS appliance. A software version of Enterasys IPS is also available, with inspection licenses between 20 Mbps and 500 Mbps. This software can be run on a Red Hat Linux server or on VMware ESX Server. Enterasys will continue to offer an EMS appliance with redundant power supplies and 2 TB of redundant disk space (DEMA‐6RED‐U), which will be available for customers who want the EMS function on an appliance. Customers could also opt for the EMS software‐only SKUs. The EMS software can be run on supported Red Hat Linux and there is also an OVA file for installation on VMware ESX Server.
