DuringDecember2016,allYear4studentsinState,ChurchandIndependent
Schoolswillbeassignedatablet.AsfromNovember,studentswillbeinvolvedin
1hourpreparatoryeducationalmeetingsdeliveredbyeducatorsspecializingin
educationaltablets,duringschoolhoursascoordinatedbytheeLearning
Department.
Parents/guardianswillalsobeinformedandinvolvedinseparatemeetingsin
variousschoolsaroundtheMalteseislands.Theaimofthesemeetingsistohelp
parentsunderstandthebenefitsofthiseducationaltoolandhowtheycould
supporttheirchildren.Duringsuchmeetings,parentswillhavetheopportunity
tousethetablet.Parents/Guardianswilltaketheroleofchildrenandwillhave
thechancetoseethebenefitsandaskanyquestionsthatmayariseinrelationto
thesubject.
TheeLearningDepartment,incollaborationwithCollegePrincipals,is
encouragingparents/guardiansfromState,ChurchandIndependentschools,to
participateinthesemeetingswhichwillcommencefromOctoberandcontinued
tillMarch/April2017.Allmeetingsareplannedtobeheldduring,afterschool
hoursandevenonSaturdaymornings.SessionswillbedeliveredinMaltesebut
therewillbesessionsconductedinEnglishasindicatedinthetablebelow.All
meetingsareplannedfortwohours.Sessionswillcommenceatthefollowing
times:
Morningsessions-9:30;Eveningsessions–18:00;Saturdaysessions–9:00
Parents/Guardianshavetheopportunitytochooseanydayandlocationthey
deemfittobethemostconvenientforthem.Inordertodeliveraqualityservice
andallowuseofthedevices,thenumberofparticipantspersessionwillbe
limited.Henceinterestedparents/legalguardiansareencouragedtoapply
and/orbooktheirseatsbynotlaterthan19thNovember,fortheOctoberNovemberschedule.Onceslotsarefilledup,parents/guardianswillbeaskedto
bookedforJan-Aprilschedule.
