Math Games for Middle School Students

Math Games for Middle School Students
Instructor: Linda Richardson
Time: Wednesdays at 12:45 – 2:15
This fun-filled class (yes, math can be fun) will focus on playing math games. Each month we will tackle a
different middle school math topic - fractions, decimals, percents, ratios, graphing, geometry, negative
and positive numbers, and algebraic equations. We will devote 25 minutes each class to solving word
problems. A mixture from Hands-On Equations, Singapore Math and Math Mammoth will be used to
teach the students different strategies for problem solving. This class will reinforce your math
curriculum and hopefully inspire your student to become a math master all the while having fun with his
peers.
