Paddle Boat - Assembly Instructions
The amazing Paddle Boat returns back to you when the lever actuates. Print all the parts as specified. Get all the
additional parts with suggested sources. Have as much fun as we had building the greatest boat.
The boat was specially design as to minimize the amount of supports and to limit the amount of rafts needed.
There are 2 versions to print. If you opt for a smaller DC motor (toy motor) then you can scale all the objects by 50%.
Only one AA battery needed.
We limited the amount of parts needed for the build and made everything snap together so no glue is needed.
There's a special penny tray on either side of the deck that levels out the boat for more paddle performance.
Return feature - Once the tanks on the Lever fill up with water they sink and actuate the switches which reverse the
current flow from the batteries to the motor. The DC motor starts spinning the paddles backwards returning the boat to
shore.
The Game - Weight the boat with the pennies to see who can return the boat quicker. The more weighted the boat, the
more quicker the Lever tanks fill with water causing the boat to return but too much weight causes the paddles to move
slower. The boat must reach a 20 foot marker in the water before it can return.
Universal DC Motor mount can secure any DC Motor within 50mm length. Use the undercarriage slots to twist tie your
Motor down.
Customize your boat with a larger DC Motor or sleeker designs on the bottles.

Step 2 - Paddle Wheel
All the parts snap in.
Slide the 2 wheels onto the shaft in the same direction.
Snap in all the Cards into the wheels.
Snap in the 4 card braces, 2 on either side to form a circle. You will hear a click when its connected properly.

Step 4 - Deck
Slide Tank Arms into slots on either side of the Deck. Be sure to find a center balance to the boat by sliding the Tank
Arms along the Deck.
Sit the 2 switches into their switch saddles. Use 3 screws each in holes provided to secure switches.
Place BoatSoolV2 onto DC Motor shaft. You may have to machine the hole larger to fit the Motor shaft.
Place the Rubber Band drive train around Paddle Wheel axle then place Paddle Wheel into slots. Wrap the Rubber
band around the BoatSpool connected to the Motor.

Step 5 - Lever
The Lever is initially buoyant but sinks after several seconds. This causes the boat to reverse its engine and return
to its origin.
Pennies! - There are 2 slots to add pennies to the tanks. This will weigh down the tanks so that they take on more
water faster. Be sure to use the right amount of (American) pennies to get the timing down perfectly. The less
pennies you use, the boat takes a longer trip.
You can operate the boat with or without the Lever.
Snap in the Lever into the appropriate slots on the Deck.
Congratulations, you've completed your build.
