What a fantastically fun 2014 swim season we had! We are excited to have another great year of competition, fun, and
fellowship! Enclosed you will find all the information necessary to register for the New Sherwood 2015 swim team. Swim team
provides an opportunity for participants at all levels to improve swimming skills in a spirited team environment. Above all we expect
swimmers to HAVE FUN!
BEGINNERS TO ADVANCED SWIMMERS WILL BENEFIT FROM PARTICIPATING.
Any child, ages 5 - 18, whose parents or grandparents are members of New Sherwood Pool and Tennis Club, who can swim
th
the length of the pool on his/her own is eligible to join. Coach Jamie Grimstead is looking forward to his 10 year as head coach.
Mark Cavanaugh (Dad of Maureen - 10 and Audrey - 8) and Wendy Bartlett (Mom of Jacob - 13 and Jessi Kate - 9) will be the league
representatives again this year, so if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call or email us!
CAN YOUR BUSINESS BE A TEAM SPONSOR?
We would love to have your support for our swim team through sponsorship. We have included a form to fill out if your
business would like to purchase an advertisement in the form of a banner, heat sheet advertisement, or a T-shirt logo. If you would
like to help us to gain sponsorships by sharing this form with businesses in our community please feel free to do so. These funds will
be used solely for the swim team at New Sherwood.
TEAM SUITS AND SWIM SUIT RESALE
If your swimmer needs to purchase a new team suit, you can do so at Swim Gear (147 S. Stratford Rd). Because the red
Speedo Endurance girls suit was discontinued, there is a new suit by Dolfin that we have chosen for our team suit. If your swimmer
has an old suit that fits, PLEASE DO NOT FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE TO BUY A NEW ONE! If your swimmer has an old suit that no longer
fits, please consider donating it to us, and we will sell it at a discounted price to a younger swimmer. All proceeds will go to the
th
swim team. Our “Gently Used” swim suit sale will take place on May 16 at our “Kick off” party. Please contact Colleen Armentrout
