PAID INSTRUCTOR OPPORTUNITIES FOR TEEN ROBOTICS CLASSES
AVAILABLE AT MEDINA COUNTY DISTRICT LIBRARY
Medina County District Library is looking for program instructors to help launch our new
Robotics and Makerspace programs for teens. Using our Raspberry Pi kits or Lego Mindstorm
EV3 kits, these paid instructors will help implement hands-on programs that are fun, engaging
and educational. Classes may include students grades 4th-5th but will mostly be for grades 6th12th. Compensation available and based on class size and involvement. Background checks
will be required. Class times may be at various times on weekends, weekdays or weeknights
throughout the year.
CRITERIA FOR APPLICANTS
Teaching or coaching experience with children or teens needed
Experience with Lego Mindstorm EV3 kits or Raspberry Pi a huge plus
Willing to travel around the county to different MCDL branches
Able to conduct, plan and facilitate different levels of robotics or technology
programming for youth
Flexibility in scheduling preferred but not required; Classes may be offered at different
times and might include weekends or weeknights but day time classes will be available
too.
Retired teachers, engineers, Science Olympiad coaches, FIRST Lego League instructors, coaches
from robotics or people familiar with STEM are strongly preferred
