A Taste of Home Sweet Home is a quilt setting layout
pattern only. Use your own rows. If you like the rows
we used, contact the shops directly to purchase the
row patterns from them.
Fabric Requirements
12 Completed 9-1/2” x 36-1/2” Rows
2 yds Border
5/8 yd Corner and Center Squares
3/4 yd Binding
7-1/2 yds Backing
Cutting Instructions
Border - Cut 4: 9 1/2” x LENGTH OF FABRIC strips.
Corner and Center Squares - Cut 5: 9-1/2” squares
Assembly Instructions (use scant 1/4” seams)
1. Arrange rows into 4 groups of 3 rows each.
We used two groups of horizontal rows and
two groups of vertical rows but you can
arrange your groups the way you like.
2. Join the rows in each group together to
create four units. Press as desired.
3. Join Unit 1 to the center square using the
“partial seam” method: stitch only 7” of the
seam letting the remaining 2-1/2” of the
square’s edge dangle loosely. Press the
square away from
Unit 1 with seam
allowance toward
Unit 1.
Stop stitching

4. Add Unit 2 to the lower edge of the
center square and Unit 1. Stitch completely across. Press away from center.
5. Add Unit 3 stitching completely and
then Unit 4 stitching completely across.
6. Now you are ready to join Unit 4 to Unit
1 starting where you stopped stitching
on the center square and stitching
completely across. Press.
7. Measure sides. Trim side borders to fit.
8. Sew side borders first. Press to border.
9. Sew corner squares to top and bottom
borders. Join to quilt and press.
10. Layer, quilt, and bind as desired. Enjoy!
