Thebasicresponsibilitiesofthestudent,instructor,andservice-Learningcommunitypartneragencyare outlinedbelow. Thestudentwill: 1. Completethetotalrequiredservicehoursinaprofessionalworksetting,usingiServetotrack theirservice. 2. CompleteaService-LearningContract,whichdetailstheplacementsettingandhis/her responsibilitieswithinthatsetting,aswellasaplantoconnectthestudent’sservicetocourse outcomes,andsubmitrevisionstothisformiftheplacementdetailschange. 3. Communicateeffectivelyandregularlywiththeirinstructorandcommunitypartnerthroughout theplacement. 4. Completeallrequiredservicehours,serviceactivities,guidedreflectionentries,academic coursework,andfinalprojectrequirements. 5. EnsurethatthecommunitypartnerhascompletedandsubmittedtheService-Learning Evaluationtotheinstructorbytheduedate. 6. Attendassignedclassmeetingsasdeterminedbytheinstructor. Theinstructorwill: 1. Assistthestudentinchoosing/developingaservice-learningprojectandplacementdetails. 2. Serveasaliaisonbetweenthestudentandthecommunitypartner,providingguidance, continuoussupport,andmediationwhenneeded. 3. Supervisethestudent’sacademicworkandprovidefeedbackandgradingaswellas communicatewithpartnerstoevaluateon-siteworkand/orprojectoutcomes. 4. Facilitatereflectionactivities,classmeetings,orcommunitypartnermeetingswhenneeded. Theservice-learningpartnerwill: 1. Developascheduleofhoursandassignedtasks/activities(withtheneedsoftheagencyandthe studentreceivingmutualbenefit)thatprovidethestudentwithaplanforsuccessfulcompletion oftheirrequiredservicehoursandprojectgoals. 2.
