Discover the Canadian Outpost Experience
“Our outpost cabins sit on
eleven of the choicest lakes in
Northwestern Ontario. Each
outpost is a little different,
designed for all levels of
fishing expectations and
abilities.”
OUR CATCH & RELEASE POLICY
A
ll anglers staying with the Outpost
Company are required to practice
catch and release fishing. This means
that you can eat smaller fish during your stay,
but you cannot fillet and pack your limit to
take home. We ask that you take lots of
pictures, enjoy the fight of a real trophy, and
perhaps have a replica made.
I
s heading north to a secluded wilderness
lake your idea of a little time spent in paradise? To a
lake so secluded that the friends and family in your log
cabin might be the only people you will see all week? To a
place where you can truly get some of that quality time
that is so elusive in the city? We invite you to discover the
Canadian outpost experience, presented to you by the Outpost Company.
Imagine yourself sitting on the deck of a beautiful hand-hewn log cabin
straight out of “Architectural Digest” on a remote wilderness lake with a well
earned refreshment in hand, the company of your family or friends at your
side, and the aroma of your dinner wafting through the air to entice your
appetite. Imagine yourself catching up on old times, the events of the past
year, and reminiscing about your lives while making new memories to be
retold and enjoyed in the future. Imagine catching fish until your arms get
tired and you have to go looking for moose, bear, or beaver just to take a
break.
Our eleven outpost cabins sit on the choicest lakes in Northwestern Ontario.
Each lake has been chosen for its natural integrity and unique quality. Each
outpost is a little different, designed for all levels of fishing expectations and
abilities. Let us know what kind of vacation you have in mind, and we’ll design
your trip around your needs. But before you call, talk to anyone who has
visited one of our outpost camps. They’ll tell you it’s the ultimate way to fish
in Canada.
As your outfitter, we provide the float plane travel into the lake, the boats,
motors, gas, and basic gear like nets and paddles, and a beautifully crafted log
cabin. All of our cabins are fully modern with hot and
cold running water, indoor showers, solar panels or a
generator for lighting, propane fridge and stove, and a
gas grill. Each cabin is equipped with a wood-fired
heater and a kitchen area stocked with all of your
cooking and dining utensils. All you need to bring are
your personal gear, fishing rods, tackle, bedding, and
groceries. For added peace of mind, our rental satellite
phones will keep you in touch with the outside world.
