Class rank, cumulative from the beginning of ninth grade, is based upon the final semester grades. The grade average is based upon a 5.0 weighed scale using academic core courses of English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, all Pre-AP and AP courses and electives. The district encompasses 102 square miles, approximately 70 percent of Rockwall County, and a mix of residential, commercial, and agricultural use properties. The district is bounded on three sides by Collin, Dallas, and Kaufman counties. Approximately 35,000 people live in the district.
