Requires a flat head & philips head screwdriver
DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
FIGURE 1
1. Hold unit so non-label side is up & remove four Bottom Cap Screws.
2. Turn unit over to remove four Top Cap Screws & lift off Top Cap.
3. Press down on Spring Case with thumbs, while pulling up on outer metal body to slide guts

press down on Spring Case while carefully lifting the outer metal body completely up and

off. CAUTION: Belt will unwind and spin from tension, Be careful of spring!
5. Separate Spring Case from Spool by pulling apart.
6. Use a flat screwdriver to separate Spool from Brake Assembly by prying
7. Unwind Belt from Spool. (If replacing Belt)

8. Fig 1: Use a flat screwdriver to separate the Belt from the Spool by pressing firmly in the
slot where the Belt is coming out of.

1. Fig 2: Hold Spool so top slot is up and bottom notch is open
to the left. IMPORTANT: Make sure Belt Lock at far end of
belt is down. Feed Belt through slot on right of Spool.
2. Fig. 2: Place Wedge about 3/4" in from end of Belt and fold
Belt over Wedge.
3. Fig 2: Feed Wedge and Belt back into slot on Spool and pull
tightly to secure Belt on Spool.
4. Fig. 3: Spin Spool CLOCKWISE to wind Belt. WIND BELT
TIGHTLY.
5. Align notch in bottom of Spool with tab in center of Brake
Case Assembly and press Spool on Brake Assembly. *Ensure
case is completely attached by pressing firmly together.
6. Place metal body on table so orientation matches Fig. 4 w/ lock
hole on left.
7. Turn Spool Assembly upside down so Brake is on top. Slide Belt
Guide in slot of body while inserting Spool assembly into metal body.
8. Rotate Bottom Cap so notches face body mounting legs. Secure
with 4 screws.
9. Flip unit over & insert small Belt Guide filler piece into body slot w/ angle
facing up.
10. Spin top of Spool to wind Belt tightly on Spool, then push Spring
Case on top of Spool.
11. Align the pins on bottom of Top Cap w/ holes in top of Spring Case &
press the Top Cap on. * Screw holes most likely won’t line up.
12. Use force to rotate Top Cap CLOCKWISE three full rotations (12 Clicks).
*MUST TURN CLOCKWISE OR SPRING WILL BREAK!!
13. Continue to turn Top Cap CLOCKWISE until screw holes in Top
Cap align with body holes. Screw in the four Cap Screws.
14. Remount Unit on mounting bracket & pull Belt to ensure
working order.
