Name: Anthony Gibson
Position: Project manager, Facility
Reduction Program, the Engineering
and Support Center, Huntsville
Where do you call home?
I am originally from Birmingham.
What do you like about your job?
I like solving complex problems, traveling to the different installations,
and helping our customers and clients solve their problems.
What are your goals – personal,
professional or both?
I am a freelance photographer on the
side and I own a studio. I hope to become a professional photographer in
my retirement life. I love providing lasting memories to people. Making them
happy in turn makes me happy. Professionally, I am an electrical engineer by
degree at the University of Alabama
and I am a lifelong learner. I would like
to become better than I am today.
What do you like to do in your
spare time?
Take pictures. I love Facebook. I am in
several organizations, including Alpha
Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and the 100
Black Men of Huntsville. I like supporting different charities through my
organizations. I like to attend church
– one of my ministries is taking pictures of church events. I love being
around people. I love good food, visiting different restaurants and discussing those restaurants online. I love
Alabama football, so another hobby is
going to Alabama football.
What is on your bucket list?
To get married, settle down, retire and
be at peace. I travel with my job extensively. With this job sometimes I am
on a plane every week.

Comment: The MILPO (Military
Personnel Ofice) ofice hours are inconvenient for National Guard/Reserve
Soldiers with daytime jobs. Yolanda
(one of the MILPO employees) was
extremely helpful, pleasant. My card
had expired and she stayed over to issue
me a CAC.
Response: Thank you for using
the ICE system to submit a comment
during your recent visit to the One Stop
ID card section of
MILPO. Unfortunately the hours of operation are normal
duty hours and may be inconvenient to some customers. But
if planned for ahead of time and within reason, we do try
to assist customers outside the normal hours of operation.
You may contact Luis Ortega, chief, Military Personnel
Division, Directorate of Human Resources, at 842-2418 if
you have any further questions.
Tell us about your experience. Put it on ICE at
ice.disa.mil. For more information or questions
about the Garrison ICE Program, call Donna
Johnson at 876-2924.
