Doug Compton Ministries
Nicaragua Crusade 2016
Doug Compton Ministries Sets July 9-July 16, 2016
for Carlos Canales, Leon, Nicaragua Crusade
Voice of Hope Ministries and
Doug Compton Ministries will
team up for their 2nd major
Crusade together in Central
America. Their partnership
will continue a successful and
fruitful message that VOH and
Doug experienced in their
Leon 2012 Crusade where
over 1800 people gave their
lives to Christ through a 3 day
crusade with Doug and his
team. This crusade has been
scheduled for the Central
American Country of
Nicaragua. The team will be
staying in the city of Leon. It
will be the first major crusade
in the Carlos Canales Community in Leon, Nicaragua.
Voice of Hope Ministries has
been developing a ministry in
this area through building a
feeding center in the
community and also partnering
with a local church, FBC Leon
in order to ensure ministry is
done throughout this
community. Carlos Canales is
in Leon, Nicaragua right off the
highway to the Poneloya
Beach. Voice of Hope has a
long history of working in
different cities throughout
Nicaragua and the power of
the gospel has had and
continues to have a great
impact on the people who are
living in these areas. God is
truly opening hearts here in
Nicaragua to Him and changing
lives forever. There will be
thousands of times that the
Gospel will be presented to
people on the streets, in fiestas, and at the crusade. Voice
of Hope Ministries has been
planning for months to get
ready for this opportunity.
Schools have been contacted,
churches have already begun
to mobilize, and the scheduling
for everything is coming
together. While you are here
there will be thousands of
times that the Gospel is shared
and there will be great
opportunities for each of you
to be involved in making an
eternal difference in the lives
of thousands of Nicaraguans.
We are looking forward to
working along side each and
every one of you, whether you
have never been or have been
several times, and we have
already begun to pray for the
harvest to be plentiful during
your stay in Nicaragua.

What to Bring to the Crusade
First and foremost we want you
to bring a willing servants heart!
After that then lets get down to
the luggage! You are allowed to
bring 1 50 lb. suitcase, one carryon, and a small personal bag.
Here is how we want you to fill
them.
1. Personal bag-Your personal
stuff:-)
2. Carry-on: At least one
change of clothes in case
you loose your luggage (it
has been known to happen). Usually we can pick
up delayed luggage at airport the next day.
3. Suitcase-All of your clothes
for the week. If you need
more information about
what to bring to wear,
email Kaylie at
[email protected] and
we will send you a packet
of what to wear. If you
have never been to Nicaragua do NOT assume you
know what you can bring.
Let us provide that information to you!
4.

the following:
3 large assorted bags of
candy. This can be tootsie
rolls, or just the giant

D)
2 gifts for young boys-less

These gifts can be baseballs,
coloring books, school supplies,
and such for kids and a hygiene
packet-travel shampoo, soap,
lotions, conditioners, and toothbrush and tooth paste for women. (Depending upon the airline,
you may only be able to bring
one suitcase, pack smart.)
What’s a Doug Compton/VOH Crusade Like?
Great Question! It’s like no
other mission trip you have
ever been on! From
beginning to end you feel
that you belong to a team
that has the greatest
purpose in the world - s
haring the Gospel. You will
sense the drive and the
focus of the crusade from
the moment you step foot
in Nicaragua. You will
experience the opportunity
to share the Gospel with
literally hundreds of people
yourself, sometimes on a
street corner or in a school
or in just one-on-one
visitation at somebody’s
home. Experienced
translators will guide you
step by step as you work
alongside the staff of Voice
of Hope Ministries to share
the Gospel. There are
countless stories of North
Americans who have come
on these crusades who have
never led someone to
Christ who come away with
a testimony of leading 10,
20, or even 30 people
personally to Christ and
arrive home with a new
sense of determination to
share with others.

Brining hope to Central America through
Jesus Christ!
We’re on the Web @
www.vohope.com
VOH Ministries is a non-profit organization founded
by Michael and Sherry Hulsey in 2007 to minister to
the people of Central America. Our organization
plants churches, does evangelism, medical and dental
missions, church training, operates feeding centers,
children’s homes, construction missions, and crusade
evangelism throughout Central America. Our organization is led by a professional group of Nicaraguan
leaders who are determined to reach their country
for Jesus Christ. 95% of very dollar spent with our
organization is spent in Central America in actual
ministry and less than 1% is spent in fundraising. We
depend entirely on the freewill offerings of churches,
our friends and partners in the work in Nicaragua. If
you would like further information of how you can be
a partner in our work please feel free to contact
Mike Hulsey at [email protected] or visit our website—www.vohope.com.

A Few Final Words!
VOH Ministries does it’s
best to provide you with
reasonable accommodations during your stay in
Nicaragua. Your hotel or
the team house in Leon has
air-conditioned bunk styled
rooms and a swimming
pool. Meals will be served
on site and fresh water will
be provided each day to
you. When possible we try
to put families together in
the same room, but there
are no guarantees of this. It
is on an availability basis.
Nicaragua is a wonderful
country to visit and get to
know the people. They
are interested in knowing
you and your lifestyle in the
states. Many times North
Americans will feel led to
do something for the people they meet here in Nicaragua. We encourage you
NOT to make any monetary promises to the Nicaraguans you meet here, but
to discuss it with our leadership team before a decision is made. Our leadership team can guide you
into the proper way of handling situations where you
have a desire to meet the
needs you see while you
are here.
We discourage you from
making any political state-
ments or getting into any
political discussions with
the people of Nicaragua
while you are here. Nicaragua is very passionate about
It’s political views and we as
a ministry have been
blessed to work with people from all political affiliations and desire to do so in
the future. Do not let an
idol statement be an interference to the furtherance
of the Gospel. We have
one candidate in our ministry and His name is Jesus!
Feel free to talk to anyone
and everyone about Him!
