They do this to allow the Roman Army to rapidly move to where it was needed the most. thursday The Romans build forts where the soldiers can live comfortably while fighting. friday The soldier's task is to fight the enemy, wherever they were. They spend most of their time training for war, or cleaning and repairing their kits. saturday In many places, a little village called a 'vicus', is found outside the walls of the fort.
