For those who enjoy the spice of life. These wines are flavoursome, fragrant and
pungent but all have their own distinctive voice. Try the floral Gewurztraminer
or the pronounced peach and apricot flavours that Australian Viognier excels at.
Sauvignon Blanc originates from Bordeaux in France but has had success all over
the world. Sancerre is renowned for its crisp and elegant styles while New Zealand
and Chile are better known for their more vibrant and zesty styles. South Africa
has started to produce some real award winners and have certainly ruffled
some feathers on the global stage.

styles of Australia through to the clean, minerally styles epitomised by Chablis.

look no further. Feast your taste buds on a selection of cult wines from cult
producers that will certainly get tongues wagging.
Villa Molino Soave, Italy
One of the big success stories of recent years and the number one UK grape variety.
Italy has had the most success with this grape where it produces an easy drinking
uncomplicated style. It is worth looking further afield to the Southern hemisphere
where countries like Chile are producing a slightly fuller style.

Rosé wines are big business. Its official. Long gone are the days of poor quality
mass produced roses. Winemakers have started to take it seriously and the results
speak for themselves. Try a light and crisp Pinot Grigio blush or for those with
a sweeter tooth White Zinfandel is the ultimate party wine.

cabernet & merlot
r i o ja & t e m p r a n i l l o
Two grape varieties that work very well together as epitomised by the finest
Bordeaux wines but can also stand on their own two feet. Cabernet is bigger and
bolder and can be a force to be reckoned with but don’t under-estimate the
softer rounder Merlot as it can also show huge complexity.
Tempranillo is considered by many to be the noble variety of Spain and it
certainly seems to have found its home in Rioja. Bodegas LAN produce phenomenal
wines from some of the best vineyard plots of the region. State of the art wine
making and finest oak barrels are used to produce the fruity Crianza right
through to the complex LAN Reserva.

up & coming reds
Originating in the Rhône Valley in France this variety has travelled worldwide and
seen particular success in Australia. Shiraz or Syrah can take on a huge range of
guises from fruity and spicy like the Pitmaster Shiraz Viognier through to huge,
bold and intense like the South African Conebush. Great with heavier foods.
It is always difficult to put such a varied range under one heading especially
with such diversity as this. Why not try a Carmenere from Chile or a spicy
Zinfandel from one of the oldest and most ecological wineries in California.

pinot noir
d e s s e rt w i n e s
They say if you want to lose money hand over fist in the vineyard plant
Pinot Noir. it is a notoriously difficult variety to grow but with a lot of TLC
it can produce some phenomenal wines from the sublime and silky French
styles to the richer cherry fruits of the Southern hemisphere.
The perfect end to the perfect meal. Why not push the boat out
with one of our lusciously sticky dessert wines? Choose from the
classic French style with marmalade flavours in abundance
or the Gewurztraminer driven Chilean number.
