Apple has released KB/HT5884 for OSX: How to connect with File Sharing using
SMB.

enable SMB scanning (on Mac OSX.9 Mavericks).

On the Mac …

Go to System Preferences/Sharing …

2. Check File Sharing, add a folder to Shared Folders, Add read/write
permissions for the Users who will be allowed access to the shared folder …
3. File scanned to folder Scans…

Go to Send and Choose Folder Path Entry …

Choose SMB and enter Hostname, Path to share, username & password
with rights to write to shared folder … Test connection …
