Band: April Lesson Fees are past due. They are $40. Some students are behind on their fee payments.
Please bring those payments in. NYSSMA Performance Permits will go home next week. We have a regular
schedule this week. As a reminder, students always have something to practice! Have a good week!
Financial Aid: If your family is going to apply for financial aid through our school, please get all applications in
as soon as possible. The committee will be looking at the applications as soon as they can.
Mark your Calendars
Musical Set Design: Just a reminder that permission slips are due this week for working on the set design for
the musical. We begin on this THURSDAY, April 24th, 3 PM-4:30 PM and will meet on Mondays and Thursday
from 3-4:30 pm. Please have your child bring a snack to eat after school. If your child is in grades 4-8th and
does not have a permission slip, they may get one at the office. Mrs. Kasmier ([email protected])
KINDERGARTEN AND 8TH GRADE GRADUATES
Kindergarten and 8th grade students will be having graduation pictures taken on Thursday, April 24th. They
will be provided a robe and cap for the picture. A proof will be sent home with an order form for those who
wish to purchase pictures.
Graduation: We will be celebrating our kindergarten and 8th grade graduates in a ceremony on Wednesday,
June 18th, our last day of school at 7 pm. More information will come home shortly.
Rummage Sale: The St. John Ladies will be having a ONE DAY rummage sale on Saturday, April 26th from 9
am – 3 pm. If you have any items you would like to donate for the rummage sale, items can be brought to the
church that week. NO ELECTRONICS OR MATTRESSES PLEASE.
SUMMER LATCHKEY
There will be Summer Camp offered again this year at St. John. The program will be open to all St. John
students and the community. Forms for summer latchkey went home last week. Registration is due by April
30th with registration fee. Please ask your child’s teacher if you need another form.
Our Spring Musical, The Greatest Show on Heaven and Earth, will be showing on Friday, May 9th and
Saturday, May 10th a 7 pm. All students will be participating. Please plan to attend and support our students
and school.
CONFIRMATION for our St. John Lutheran Church students will be on Sunday, May 18th at the 10:30 am
Service. Please watch for more paperwork to come home shortly.
The 7th and 8th grade students will be attending an outdoor education trip to Pioneer Camp and Retreat
Center from May 21-23rd. The approximate cost of the trip will be $150/student. More information will come
home shortly.
Sports’ Banquet-We will be having our Annual Sports’ Banquet for all our St. John athletes on Friday, May
30th.
Rainbow Roller Rink if offering a Christian Music Skate on the 1st Mondays of the month from 4-8 pm.
Admission, which includes skates, is only $5 and $1 is returned to St. John Parent Teacher League for each
skater. The next skate is Monday, April 7th.
St. John’s 12th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday, July 13th at Deerwood Golf Course. The
proceeds will fund the Capital Campaign Program. Included are 18 holes of golf and a cart, 2 hot dogs or
hamburger & drink at the turn, delicious catered buffet meal, and prizes. The cost of an individual is $90.00,
sponsorship of a hole is $100.00 and sponsorship/foursome combo is $420.00. Sponsors will have their
business name displayed on a 24” x 18” sign at a designated hole, as well as in the program. This is a
wonderful time to get together with friends and share a great day. You do not need to know how to play well,
just come out for fun and fellowship! Registration forms are on the table in the narthex. Please call Mark
