The Tudors and early Stuarts
Epping Forest District Museum
The Tudors and early Stuarts
The Epping Forest District Museum and Renaissance in the Regions
present an exhibition on Tudor and early Stuart life within the East of
England.
The Tudor and early Stuart age was a period of great change and
development, not only in religion, but also in the arts, sciences, politics and
fashion. This exhibition explores the aspects of this legacy by featuring a
number of important local history connections such as the magnificent houses
of Hill Hall and Copped Hall, as well as telling the histories of a number of
influential individuals, like Elizabeth I courtier, Sir Thomas Heneage, and
Protestant Martyr, John Foxe.
Availability:
The exhibition will be available to tour from May 2009.
The exhibition comprises 16 ‘pop-up’ text panels, organised by theme. The
easily assembled text panels contribute to the exhibitions flexibility. The ‘popup’ panels are free standing and can be selected on a ‘pick and mix’ basis, to
comply with available display space.
There is no charge for loan of the exhibition to sites within the East of
England region, although transport must be supplied by the receiving
venue.
