Summer is finally here! The warm weather is
perfect for countless outdoor adventures.
Let’s welcome summer with a plethora of fun
summer activities this month. We begin with
celebrating the fourth of July this week.
Teachers are busy preparing fun arts and
crafts as well as inspiring history lessons to
celebrate our independence as a nation!
Our children are having fun and a fantastic
time learning about Prehistoric Animals and
Transportation.
During the first session of the summer
curriculum, the children learned about the
Paleozoic Era, Fossils and the evolution of
dinosaurs. It is just amazing how the children
are able to remember and recognize all the
different dinosaur names.
In addition to our summer curriculum of
Prehistoric animals and Transportation, we
have planned
a variety of fun summer activities such as
Water Play Day, Ice Cream Day, and Bubble
Day.

We would like to wish you all a happy and safe
Independence Day!
Learn and Play Montessori School will remain
closed on the July 4th ,2016 inobservance of
Independence Day.
On this day, the children will
recognize and honor the
support of their parents and
guardians by making cards
and/or various other art
projects.
Illness
Children MUST stay home when they show symptoms of any deviation from normal health. (Please refer to
Parent Handbook and doctor’s note is required upon return)
- Fever of 100 degree or higher
- Vomiting on two or more occasion -Eye discharge or Pink eye
- Diarrhea - Head lice
- Draining Rash open oozing sores and scabs
- Contiguous medical diagnosis

1. Arriving to school is very important in order to avoid
disrupting the entire class. Please arrive to school by
8:45am and pick up at scheduled time (11:30/2:30);
additional charges will be applied.
2. All children must have two sets of extra clothing (shirts,
pants, underwear, socks) in their cubbies. Please write
the child's name on all personal belongings.
3. Children, who nap should bring a crib sized bedsheet
and a small blanket. Our storage is limited, so please do
not send pillows, quilts, or large blankets.
4. All medications must be labeled with your child's name
and in their original containers if the medication is
prescribed. Please give all medications directly to the
teacher. Please write your child's name, the name of the
medication, the dosage, the time that the medication is to
be given and the expiration date. Please sign and date
the medication form. The medication log must be also
completed daily by the parents indicating the timings that
the medication will be given.
5. Fire and Earthquake drills happens twice a month,
parents, please note that parking lot gates will be closed
during the event.
6. Importance of Sign-In and Sign-Out on ProCare
System
-Enter Personal ID
-Enter Password
-Click on child's Picture for Sign-In or Sign-Out at this
time, on this date
-Click FINISH to complete procedure
7. Children's Birthday Celebration
- (No eggs, no nuts, low sugar whipped cream and
frosting)
-No goodie bags please
-If parents wish they may donate a book to your child’s
classroom with your child’s name written inside.

As a kind reminder:
When pulling in and out of the school parking lot,
please take pre-caution and drive in
very slowly (no faster than 5 MPH) as parents and
children are passing by. Speeding in the parking
lot is not permitted and can result in many
unwanted consequences.
Sign-In and Sign Out
Parents, please remember to sign in and sign out
every day. To ensure your child is under our care at
the time of your sign-in is essential and that no
additional charges are made to your account for late
pickups.
Parking Lot
The parking lot only has one entrance and one exit
(one way only). Parents must drive around the
school building in order to exit from the parking lot.
Please make sure that your child is by your side at
all times in the parking lot. Again, reminders to all
parents please do not leave your older or younger
siblings in the car without any adult supervision.
Please bring them inside as you are picking up your
child. The parking lot closes promptly after 6pm and
for the safety of you and your child, please do not
allow your child to be running or playing around in
the parking lot.
Please also be aware that we have a ONE
WAY parking lot; there is only one entrance and
one exit.
Please always scan for children and vehicles.
Also, for the safety of everyone, please do not
allow your children to play or run in the parking lot.
Please take extra precaution when picking up
between 4:30 pm –6:00 pm.
