Harnessing the Suns energy
Tasks:
Use the equipment provided (and anything else you gather up) to use the sun to heat
100mL of cold tap water. You will have an end time to submit your water for marking (ie its
temp)…
Produce a report (in any format you choose) of this investigation, include:

An introduction paragraph where you cover solar energy

A method section (your set-up) . Use diagrams, photos, etc to describe your set-up

The results you obtained (how hot did it get, maybe calculate the energy and/or
power)

A discussion section where you explain the method you used ie how you overcame
some of the problems of energy loss and how you maximised the harnessing of the
suns energy (maybe ray diagrams for a convex mirror and a lens here)

Link what we did to the theory we have covered. You could also include any relevant
and interesting research findings on solar energy

