Day One
We motor coach to Indianapolis
airport to begin our Western
frontier adventure. Our flight
takes us to Salt Lake City, Utah.
Transfer to another motor coach
and travel to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Our hotel is located in the
center of town.
Day Two
This morning we take a delightful float trip
on the white waters of the Snake River.
The spectacular vistas of the Grand Teton
Mountains offer a spectacular view. We
will stop and have lunch on the shore. Return to Jackson Hole for free time to see
its wooden boardwalks and unique antler horn arches. Jackson Hole brings the Old
West to life. Tonight the dinner bell rings to call us to eat at the Bar J Chuckwagon
for an evening of songs, stories, entertainment and authentic cowboy chow. B, L, D

Day Three

We leave Jackson Hole, pass through Grand
Teton National Park, towering more than a
mile above the Valley. They rise to 13, 770
feet. Twelve Teton peaks reach above12,000
feet and support a dozen mountain glaciers.
Later we arrive at Yellowstone National Park,
the nations oldest park. As you travel to our
lodge, located inside the park, you may catch
a glimpse of majestic herds of buffalo, endless evergreen forests and awe inspiring rock
formations. Tonight we stay in the famous Old
Faithful Inn that sits next to Old Faithful Geyser, a fountain of steam that rises more that
60 feet in the air. Dinner is at their beautiful
rustic dining room and is an added treat. B, D

Day Four
We have a local step on guide today to show
us all of the many wonders of this beautiful
park. You’ll witness the eruption of the famed
geyser Old Faithful, thrill to the crashing
waters of the upper and lower falls at one of

Day Five
This morning we travel to Cody, Wyoming
to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. As you
explore the Center, you’ll encounter some
of the historic figures, including Bill himself,
the renowned sharpshooter Annie Oakley,
Indian Chief Sitting Bull and frontier scout
Texas Jack Vermillion O Mohundro. Next,
you take an expedition into the expansive

the parks other renowned formations, the
breathtaking Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.
The lower falls are almost twice as high
as Niagara. Travel along Grand Loop Road
to Fountain Paint Pots to see the bubbling
mud. Then stop at Mammoth Hot Springs
and take a short trail walk through steaming limestone terraces. Tonight we stay at
a different lodge, Lake Yellowstone Hotel,
with sweeping views of America’s largest
mountain lake. Another outstanding dinner

Bighorn Mountains where cowboys still
graze their flocks of sheep and herds of
cattle as in days of The Old West. B, D
Day Six
Approaching the Black Hills, catch a
glimpse of Devils Tower in the distance. This
looming monolith served as the backdrop
for the classic Steven Spielberg film, Close
Encounter of the Third Kind. Next you will
see one of the country’s most famous land-
marks, Mt. Rushmore before visiting
the Crazy Horse Monument, a memorial dedicated to the Native Americans
of this great land. There are a number
of museums at this site. The Native
Americans will discuss the movements
of their dances and significance of
wearing different feathers and clothes.
Tonight we return to Mt. Rushmore for
the lighting ceremony. This is a very
moving occasion. B, D

Day Seven
This morning we head for Custer
State Park, located in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota and
the annual Buffalo Roundup. This
is an exciting event as you will see
real cowboys roundup hundreds of
buffalo. There will be western music,
crafts and food. I’m sure this will be
one of the highlights of our trip. We
return to our hotel for the night.
Day Eight
After breakfast we will drive to
Denver to the airport and our flight
back to Indiana taking with us many
wonderful memories of our trip to
the West. B
