General Manager

Position Summary
The General Manager (USA) is responsible for the set up of a US based branch of KeepCup and continuing to
establish KeepCup as a well-loved and recognised brand. The aim of this role is to build and develop a viable
business of competent and professional individuals whilst adhering to the vision and values of KeepCup.
You will recruit, manage and motivate to implement, to achieve revenue and company growth in line with the
overall business plan. You will take the lead in facilitating good communication with our suppliers, distributors,
customers and the global KeepCup team.
Key Responsibilities

Take the lead on large sales and transactions, benchmarking sales performance and mentoring the
sales team.

Management and appraisal of the team the achievement of business objectives, including the efficiency
of staff, strategies and procedures

Communicate performance expectations and support team by providing feedback, and
managing performance gaps
o
Train staff and provide assistance, guidance and support
o
Ensure all sales, account management, business development and administration tasks are
undertaken in a professional and timely manner
o
Appraise the activities of the team implementing corrective strategies to ensure individual and
team objectives are met

Monitor market and advise of changes in competition, product requirements or related matters across
product range

Manage relationships suppliers, customers and key influencers.

Observe and practice the KeepCup OH&S and Quality policy, guidelines and procedures.

Adhere to KeepCup Sustainability policy and work to continuous improvement of minimisation of our
environmental impact.
Additional Responsibilities

Insure accurate documentation and quality control data and records.

Direct and oversee site production activities and personnel.

Oversee and ensure high safety standards at all times.

Direct production activities to insure safety and compliance with quality control standards, regulatory
compliance, and lease agreements.

Maintain general oversight and insure accuracy of records including A/R, A/P, Inventory, etc.

Assist in development of forms and tools to increase company efficiency and risk management.

Attend trade Shows, marketing and networking events.

Key Selection Criteria
KeepCup is looking for an individual who is hard working, likeable, and honest with a good sense of humour. You
must be able to take direction, be pro-active and driven but never compromise your ethics. In addition you will
have clear communication both written and verbal and be well presented - this is essential for the role.

A demonstrated understanding and love of the KeepCup as a product and philosophy and an
understanding of what sets KeepCup apart from other reusable cups

Comfortable in a start-up business environment

A minimum of eight years of experience in
o
general management or business management, planning and financial oversight
o
personnel management, including recruitment, supervision, evaluation and benefits
administration
o
sales and marketing with good negotiation skills and an excellent understanding of client care

Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff team and achieving high level results

Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization

Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills

Ability to work in a highly organised manner and meet deadlines and prioritise

Excellent computer / IT, organisational and administration skills

The ability to thrive in pressured or stressful situations and the proven ability to cope with conflict, stress
and crisis situations

Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced office setting.

Meeting quarterly budget

Positive engagement and feedback through customer service and social media

Positive report and team building with staff

Accurate and timely reporting.

Weekly WIP with team and quarterly sales team reviews.


Hours of Work
Hours of work will generally be Monday – Friday 8:30am – 6:00pm but may vary with workload or by agreement.
Travel will be required to follow up leads and generate sales in accordance with the KeepCup Travel
policy. We require you to be available for up to three weeks of international travel per year.
