2016-2017 SCHOOL-WIDE SUMMER READING PROGRAM All students are required to select and read one book from the thematic school-wide summer reading lists and to participate in a school-wide celebration in the fall. To facilitate discussion and prepare for written assessment, students are encouraged to purchase their own copy of their selected book or take notes on the following: major characters, conflicts, themes, and significant quotations. Students may be assigned summer reading requirements by individual teachers. These requirements may not be used to complete the school-wide summer reading initiative requirements. Incoming freshmen should submit their summer reading choice to their guidance counselor during their scheduling conference or email the choice to Bob Crowley no later than August 4, 2015.
