Beach Ball Brainstorming This strategy helps support the following Book Trust component(s): Directions: Write various questions on a beach ball. Toss the beach ball around in small group or whole group. As the student catches the ball, they can either pick a question to answer or use a question that one of their hands lands on. Some e example questions are: What book are you reading? What is it about? Tell us about your favorite character. What are you reading at home? Do you have a special place that you read at home? How does the book you are reading connect to another book we have read in class? Why do you think your author wrote your book? Variations: Consider writing sentence stems or true/false statements on the beach ball to change things up.
