Beach Ball Brainstorming
This strategy helps support the following Book Trust component(s):
Directions:
Write various questions on a beach ball. Toss the beach ball around in
small group or whole group. As the student catches the ball, they can
either pick a question to answer or use a question that one of their
hands lands on. Some e example questions are:




What book are you reading? What is it about?
Tell us about your favorite character.
What are you reading at home?
Do you have a special place that you read at
home?
 How does the book you are reading connect to another book we
have read in class?
 Why do you think your author wrote your book?
Variations: Consider writing sentence stems or true/false statements on the
beach ball to change things up.
