THE FIRM
A
pex Attorneys Advocates was founded on the
28th day of October 2008 by Frank Mwalongo
and later on partnered with Elias Mwashiuya,
Imam Hassan Daffa and Frank Modestus. The
four partners have merged their individual specializations
and wide experiences to practice via Apex Attorneys
Advocates with a breadth and profound expertise that our
clients require. This mixture of expertise has enabled the
firm to attract large, high-profile local and international
clients. A dynamic Law Firm offering a specialized array of
legal solutions in corporate and commercial law, intellectual
property, property law, media law, labour law, litigation,
dispute resolution, negotiations and debt collections as
well as loan recovery. Apex Attorneys Advocates provides
comprehensive legal services founded on legal expertise

Customer satisfaction and

For every matter we handle we start by prefacing it
with a guiding legal opinion to guide the Client and
the firm in the conduct of the matter. The opinion
includes analysing facts involved, sorting out issues and
analysing the position of the law. In all court cases and
non court matters there has to be a guiding legal opinion
that explores the matter at length to give direction.
There are few matters which may not require a guiding
legal opinion and when it happens as such a client is
informed well in advance, and a consensus is reached.
Exceeding customers’ satisfaction is our standard of
service delivery. Our Clients are always informed of
what is going on in their matters and the quality of our
output is above the standard service. Our Client should
expect the best service that aims not only at pleasing
the client but exceeding the satisfaction and delight the
client. Clients whom we have served for more than a
year have moved from satisfaction to delightment.
Periodic reporting
Quality Control
For all Our Clients we do reporting on the progress of
their matters either monthly or weekly depending on
the nature of the subject matter and also depending on
the interest of the client. The monthly report includes
the brief of the matter, development in the matter, the
following scheduled dates for cases, and any other
information which is necessary according to the request
of the client.
One of the key tasks of the Managing partner is to
control quality of our work. Aiding tools to quality
control includes quarterly performance appraisals of
every professional of the firm, every assignment to be
handled by at least two people before it is approved
as final, conducting professional meetings to evaluate
assignments of the ending week and discuss those of
the coming week.

Corporate & Commercial
Incorporation of new companies, local and foreign companies
for the purpose of doing business in Tanzania. Also
incorporation of trustees, societies, civil societies in various
forms and other forms of body corporate.
Company secretary to assist companies in meeting their
compliance obligations as to statutory filings, issuing notices
for statutory meetings, drafting of resolutions, preparing
minutes and resolutions, and generally enabling companies
to keep up date with all statutory compliance requirements.
Contract documentation, drafting all forms of contracts
and deeds, drawing up financial/banking instruments.
In addition the firm offers standby legal advice on various
legal and extra-legal matters which arise in the day-to-day

Intellectual Property
The firm acts as a trademark agent responsible for
trademark registration, trademark instaurations, merger,
assignments, maintenance of trade and accommodations
marks, prosecuting and forfending cases of breach of
trademark rights. Forfending of copyright and prosecuting
or bulwarking unlawful interference with copyright and
other disputes arising in the perspicacious property law area.
Advise on the way to forfend Industrial design and Patents
and prosecuting or bulwarking unlawful interference with
patent rights.
Labour Law
Providing legal opinions on various labour law issues. To
guide companies on both contentious and non-contentious
labour matters. To draft and drawing up employment
contracts in line with Tanzanian labour laws, preparation of
employment manuals, institution of disciplinary measures,
termination of contracts of employment, redundancies/
retrenchments, work permits for foreign employees and
all other labour law related issues. To develop voluntary
agreements. To assist in mediating employment disputes and
defending labour cases instituted by employees against the
company and vice versa.
Tax law
Advising clients on the elements of defamation particularly
libel. Representing different parties before the Courts of
law on among others different suits. Providing training and
seminar on libel to the needy.
