In addition, two new programs, Business Water Heating and Business Refrigeration. Contact your National Account Manager for more details or visit our business section on www.FPL.com . Business Energy Evaluation: This free, comprehensive review of your facility’s energy usage can help you make informed, cost‐effective decisions that can save your company money’s. An FPL Energy Expert will conduct an on‐site evaluation and provide specific, cost‐saving recommendations, including any applicable FPL incentives for installing energy efficient technologies and equipment. Lighting: Receive incentives for making lighting improvements, such as low mercury linear fluorescents, compact fluorescents, ceramic metal halide, metal halide pulse start/electronic ballast and circuited current limiters, that can save you energy and reduce your operating costs. Building Envelope: Receive incentives for making building envelope improvements, such as ceiling and roof insulation, reflective roof measures (including coatings and membranes), window tinting, solar film and solar screens, which can translate into increased comfort and lower air conditioning bills. Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC): Receive an incentive when you replace your existing cooling system with a high‐efficiency split/packaged direct‐expansion (DX) air conditioning system which can reduce cooling and maintenance costs. DX units include air, water, and evaporative cooled air conditioning or heat pump systems and package terminal air conditioners or heat pumps. Incentive amount depends on the system’s size and energy efficiency. Thermal Energy Storage Systems (TES): Receive an incentive for installing a TES System that stores energy at night, when power is less expensive, and uses it to cool your building efficiently throughout the day, when rates are higher. TES can help you reduce your on‐peak electricity use and lower your energy bills. Chillers: Receive an incentive for installing or replacing an existing chiller with a high‐efficiency air or water cooled electric chiller that can help significantly reduce your electricity, operating and maintenance costs. Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV): Receive an incentive for installing an ERV System that helps reduce waste and lower your energy costs by using your building’s exhaust to precondition incoming fresh air. Qualifying ERV units include enthalpy wheel and plate type which recover both sensible and latent heat from building exhaust. Incentive is based on size and efficiency of recovery unit. Demand Control Ventilation (DCV): Receive an incentive for installing a DCV System that helps reduce energy costs by adjusting ventilation rates of occupied spaces and meeting rooms based on actual occupancy instead of at a fixed rate for full occupancy. DCV also helps HVAC equipment operate more efficiently and last longer, in addition to ensuring proper indoor air quality and comfort. Business Water Heating: Receive an incentive for the installation of heat recovery units or heat pump water heater equipment. A Heat Recovery Unit (HRU) or Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) recycles rejected heat from your air conditioning or refrigeration system and uses it to heat water. They also cool and dehumidify the air that passes through them, allowing for more efficient HVAC equipment operation, and provide the same reliable supply of hot water as standard electric water heaters for about half the cost. Business Refrigeration: Receive an incentive for installing controls and equipment that reduce electric strip heater usage in refrigeration equipment allowing for more efficient operation, a reduction in operating costs, and prolonging the need for investment in new equipment. Business On Call: By voluntarily enrolling in this free program you can save money and energy and receive a monthly credit on your electric bill. By participating in this program you agree to let FPL occasionally interrupt service to your qualifying air conditioning system for short periods of time and only when absolutely necessary. Commercial Demand Reduction (CDR): CDR is a load management program that can save your business thousands of dollars each year. This program reduces FPL’s system peak demand during capacity shortfalls or system emergencies and is ideal for businesses with and without back‐up generation. If your business qualifies, you can earn monthly credits by allowing FPL to reduce your electric load by a predetermined amount, whether or not FPL initiates a control period. Other FPL Programs: Power Monitoring Service: Power disturbances can happen at any time, and you can’t always be there to take action. But FPL’s Power Monitoring Service can. This service allows you to be plugged in to your electrical equipment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week even when you’re not there. If an outage occurs the service system will automatically notify you and FPL. This eliminates unnecessary downtime since FPL is notified as soon as the outage occurs and helps ensure power is restored as quickly as possible.
