Pray for the persecuted church remembering Christians especially in
the Sudan, Mali, Kenya, across North Africa, Nigeria, Northern India,
Pakistan and the Philippines.
We pray for a peaceful resolution for the escalating tensions in Iraq and
pray for wisdom for the leaders.
We pray for the crisis situation in the Gaza strip and pray for peace.

The Deanery this month are praying for us– The Church of The
Resurrection. We join with them in our prayers.
Please pray for preparations for our half term Messy Church on Monday
27th October, for the team and for all who are thinking of coming along.
And for our Crib Festival on 20th-21st December.
Please pray with us in giving thanks for our strong team making the
church work day to day in all areas of its life.

We pray for all in Valley Green in Woodhall Farm and for Tamar Green
in Grovehill.
We pray this week particularly for our primary and secondary schools, for
those who lead and teach there. We pray for a restful half term break.
We pray for our Children's & Youth Work. We especially pray for
enough space and resources for the groups need.

Publicity is out now! Volunteers will be
needed. A weekend of fun and festivity for
all the family to come along to.
Posters are now ready– if you are able to
put one up at home or in a window, or on a
board somewhere please speak to Austin
who will be able to help.

Community Centre Christmas Family Fun Day
Saturday 8th November 1.30pm-5.00pm
With Santa’s Grotto, Live Owls, Kids Playzone, Stalls, Crafts, Raffle with
Christmas hamper, Tombola, Refreshments and Belle Fairyland will be
sprinking her fairy dust. Lots of Fun for Everyone.
Julie Banks is looking for donations of Tins of biscuits, boxes of sweets,
tins of cheesy balls, £1 Christmas tubes of sweets etc. All donations
welcome. See Rita or Norma Narroway if you have donations.

DENS Foodbank– High Needs List– October
Food needed: Pea’s (tinned), Sweetcorn (tinned),
puddings (tinned), Wrapped Sweets, Squash.
For use within DENS services: Antibacterial Spray,
Dishwasher salt / tablets
Iona Singing Workshop.
On Saturday 15th November at St Barnabus Church.
Runs from 9.30am—1.00 pm followed by an optional
lunch. More details to follow nearer the time.
Wallpaper Pasting TablesI.
Do you have a wallpaper pasting table we could borrow
for the crib festival. Please let Sally, Rita or Emma
know.
1000 Flyers!!!!
Thank you to all who have helped to deliver leaflets
around our parish. We have delivered all 1000 leaflets to
23 roads around Grovehill and Woodhall Farm. Thank
