About the country:
ARMENIA
Armenia is situated at a cultural, historical, and
religious intersection and located at the crossroads between
Europe and Asia.
One of the world's oldest civilizations,
Armenia once included Mount Ararat, which
biblical tradition identifies as the mountain
that Noah's ark rested on after the flood. It
was the first country in the world to officially
embrace
Christianity
as
its
religion
(c. A.D. 300).
The climate in Armenia is markedly
continental. Summers are dry and sunny,
lasting from June to mid-September. Average
temperature in the country ranges from -5oC
in winter to 30oC in summer.
Tsaghkadzor (means “valley of flowers” in Armenian) is a beautiful town and a
popular health resort in Armenia and is located 50 kilometers north of Yerevan at a
height of 1750 meters above sea level, surrounded with alpine meadows in the Kotayk
Province.
Tsaghkadzor is a unique place attracting tourists all year round not only by
dazzling whiteness of its slopes, but also colorful and tantalizing aroma of nature. This
feature of the city makes it attractive, inviting and memorable.

About the organization:
“WOMEN’S REPUBLICAN COUNCIL” NGO
is founded in 2005. We
encourage our target group: women, young people and new generation to be active
participants in shaping their environment and society by bringing Armenian public to
global values.
We aim:
 to
promote the establishment and
maintenance of human rights for the
people of Armenia,
 to work to improve the quality of life
for all,
 to increase the participation of women
in the decision making processes and
empower them in shaping meaningful
policy (including also the national
minority group members in Armenia)
 to sustain the movement for greater equality between women and men by
listening to, including and supporting the voices of younger generations
Our activities facilitate and motivate our members and interested people to new
democratic, environmental and tolerance based approaches by realizing for them new
projects on employability, gender, professional development and lifelong learning. Via
interactive communication we try to identify the needs of especially young people by
raising their awareness and establishing background for them on mobility, active
