The horse as a mode of transportation has been valuable this spring as
saturated ground conditions continue to prevail. The horse is our only means
of handling cattle and will always be my preference in every condition rain, sleet,
snow or shine. The exceptional horse will prevail in all conditions and hence the
American Quarter Horse was developed for it’s versatility.
The challenge for our industry is staying the course and maintaining the
traits that sustain us as breeders for future generations to enjoy and utilize. The
focus here at the A Bar Ranch has remained constant on breeding talented
intelligent durable cowhorses. As our customer base has evolved to more com-
petitive and recreational users the trainable, soft minded genetics have been
emphasized.

Terms: are cash, to be paid in US currency and/or on US banks the day of
the sale. Cash, Cashiers Check, Mastercard Visa or approved Bank checks,
will be accepted. A 2% buyer premium will be assessed on all online
purchases. No horse will leave the grounds without a bill of sale.
Bidding: Positive ID is required to receive a buyer’s number. Each
bidder must have a buyer’s number to bid. The highest bidder is the buyer.
If any dispute arises between two or more bidders, sole
authority to settle the dispute is reserved by the auctioneer. His
decision shall be final. The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any or all
bids.
Risk: Title to and risk or loss passes to the buyer when the animal is
declared “SOLD” by the auctioneer. Buyers assume responsibility for
maintenance and care from then on. All horses should be removed from the
site the same day of sale, June 20, 2015, unless other arrangements have
been made with Armitage Livestock.
Registration Papers: All registration papers will be withheld until all
checks clear the banks. At such time, they will be mailed to AQHA for
transfer. The transfer fee of $15 to AQHA will be the responsibility of the
buyer and will be added to the purchase price. A purchase invoice will be
filled out on each horse EXACTLY how the purchaser wants a horse
r e g i s t e r e d . We will not be responsible for errors on transfers if
purchase invoice is not properly and clearly filled out.
