Additional Information
It would be appreciated if you would encourage your child at home to research the topics we are covering in school by using the internet and visiting
the local library. We are always grateful for help and support from parents and carers. If you have any resources or experiences of these subjects and
would be willing to share them with the class, please see the class teacher.
Reading books will be changed regularly and must be brought into school daily.
Library books must be brought in and changed on a Thursday. The school will be continuing to use the online resource ‘Bug Club’ as additional reading
resources to further develop pupils’ reading skills. ‘Bug Club’ can be accessed via dB, the link is located in their classroom community.
MyMaths/ RM EasiMaths online homework will be set on a Friday and should be completed by the following Thursday. If your child has no access to
a computer/device or the internet then they can complete homework in the ICT suite during lunchtimes.
Spellings go out on a Friday and will be tested on the following Friday. When learning the spellings, please encourage the use of the school method of
look, say, cover, write and check. It is also important for children to have a go at applying the spelling rule to other examples.
All children need their P.E. kits in school every day and please ensure they have their trainers or plimsolls. As it is getting cold, children must have both
an indoor and outdoor P.E. kit. Jewellery should not be worn except for watches or small stud earrings, which must be removed or covered for PE.
This term, Year 3 will be performing the play ‘King Midas’ which is an Ancient Greek myth – linked to our topic!
