Application Requirements
Candidates seeking admission to the course must have:
1. An NUS Honours degree (Merit/Second Class and above)
or equivalent (e.g., a four-year Bachelor’s degree with at
least an average grade of B or equivalent) in the subject or
related field; or;
2. A good Bachelor’s degree (at least an average grade of B
or equivalent) in the subject or related field and successful
completion of a placement test; or exceptionally;
3. Other qualifications and experience subject to approval by
the Board of Graduate Studies.
Candidates seeking admission to the course must have:

or equivalent) in Social Work; good Graduate Record
Examination (GRE) General Test scores, taken no earlier

first three years must be RIBA Part 1 validated, and the
fourth is to be from a year of study in an RIBA Part 2

2. NUS 3-year Bachelor of Arts (Architecture)/ Bachelor of

3. Minimum 3 years of relevant architectural and
environmental design education from other universities*;
4. Applicants with an NUS Bachelor of Architecture
(specialization in Landscape Architecture) Hons degree will
enter directly into the Masters Final Year and may
therefore complete the Masters programme within 1 year;
5. Interview, and portfolio review where necessary.
*Candidates will undergo a bridging programme prior to
admission to the 2-year MLA programme.
