DETAILED DESCRIPTION Technical Problems [0039] In the commonly used Modi?ed Cof?n-Manson Equation, the acceleration factor AF is a function of the tem Ramp?ezd and the dwell time Dwell?eld of the ?eld environ perature cycle frequency F. Because of the relationship to the ment, and the ramp rate Ramp 1a b and the dwell time Dwell 1a b temperature cycle frequency F 1a b for a laboratory environ ment in the denominator, m is 1/3 and a positive value. Thus, the experimental results demonstrated that the fatigue life prediction for the solder joint of the product using the Modi?ed Co?in-Manson Equa tion Was not accurate. [0041] The acceleration factor modeled and calculated in the ?nite element analysis is in harmony With actual experi mental results, but a model has to be created in the ?nite element analysis simulation for each product shape to be tested. The results depend entirely on the equation represent ing the model, hoW the model is created, the boundary con ditions, and the incorporated parameters. In other Words, it is not generaliZed, and a simple fatigue life prediction method cannot be obtained. A solder joint fatigue life prediction method using the crack groWth rate of the solder joint is also not a simple fatigue life prediction method because the crack groWth rates have to be determined and used individually.
