Sean E. Lee

Sean Lee currently serves Assistant Vice President of Aviation and Executive Ground Transportation
for Corporate Administration at MassMutual. He brings more than 18 years of global operational and
executive experience from both military and corporate Fortune 100 companies. Additionally, he
serves as the National Chair for MassMutual’s Armed Forces and Family of Veteran’s Employee
Resource Group, and is on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Business Aircraft Association
as well as New England Air Museum.
Sean came to MassMutual from Hewlett Packard in San Jose, California where he served as the
Manager of Corporate Flight Operations, Safety Manager and Assistant Chief Pilot of their
Gulfstream-V/550 aircraft. He managed a team of 26 staff members including pilots (internal and
contract), Flight Attendants and Dispatchers. While there he was responsible for HP’s certification
process through the IS-BAO Stage 3 Certification, and also developing and managing their Emergency
Response Planning function. In addition, he managed HP aviation’s administrative processes
including human resources, budgeting and all capital improvement plans. Prior to Hewlett Packard,
Sean spent three years in the Coca-Cola Co. flight department in Atlanta, Georgia where he served as
an International Senior Flight Officer on their Gulfstream 550 aircraft. He also served as their
Environmental Program Manager, overseeing their European Union Emissions Trading Scheme,
Aviation Carbon Neutrality Programs and purchasing Wind/Power offsets.
He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy with a B.S. in General Sciences/Physics. Sean
was honorably separated from the United States Air Force as a Major after 10 years active duty,
where some of his roles included serving as the Executive Officer for the Commander of Travis Air
Force Base and leading multiple missions during Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his Air Force
Academy and active duty tenure, Sean flew a broad assortment of aircraft, including the KC-10A, T37, and G-V. Sean also attended the University of St. Petersburg in Russia where he participated in
the Russian Language Area Studies Immersion Program. Sean earned his M.B.A. in Management from
Emory University in Atlanta.
Currently, he and his wife Tina, along with their daughter Ryan are enjoying making the New England
area home.
