experience. We are therefore pleased to inform you that we have been able to keep our annual fee increases to a minimum.
This pricing guide outlines our commercial credit card (“Card”) services and service costs in more detail. The fees in this schedule are effective
from 1 January 2017, include VAT and are subject to change.
Make the most of our value-added services
Your commercial credit card gives you complete control over your travel, entertainment and other expenses. With its range of exceptional
features and benefits, your commercial card offers you convenience, security and peace of mind. These features and benefits include:
• Up to 55 days’ interest-free credit, which allows you to manage your cash flow more effectively.
• Basic automatic travel insurance cover of up to R1 million when travel tickets are purchased on the card, and international emergency
assistance if you are under the age of 75 years.
• International acceptance at more than 30 million merchants and 900 000 ATMs worldwide.
• Free lost-card protection.
• Detailed statements to facilitate your dealings with the South African Revenue Service.
• Access to MasterCard® Smart Data Online (SDOL Gen2) or Visa Intellilink, web-based expense management tools which
allow you to manage and track your business expenditure.
• The services of a dedicated support team and a priority call centre.
Advanced fraud protection
In addition to the ‘Chip and PIN’ security feature on your commercial credit card, Standard Bank Card Division uses a
world-class fraud detection system to identify questionable transactions, based on variations in your conventional
spending profile. This technology detects fraud with pinpoint accuracy through proven neural network models and
other proprietary predictive technologies.
Corporate Liability Waiver (CLW)
CLW is a valuable benefit for the holders of commercial credit cards as it gives you protection against losses
that may be incurred through card misuse. The CLW is managed by VISA and MasterCard, and provides
cover against fraud or dishonesty by an employee, for example in situations where:
• the business has paid the bill but has been unable to obtain reimbursement from the employee; and
• the bank has billed the employee directly and the business has reimbursed the employee but the
employee has not paid the bank.
SAVE with an Automatic Payment Order (APO)
Paying with an APO means you will never be late with a payment and incur credit expenses.
Enjoy the benefits of electronic banking
Switching to electronic banking will not only save you time and help you to reduce
your bank charges, but will also help you manage your business more effectively. Our
self-service banking channels, including Business Online, Internet Banking and our
ATM network, are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, giving you access to
information and enabling you to transact when it is most convenient for you.
You can also view your card information easily and conveniently through Internet
Banking, as well as on your mobile and tablet.
Zero interest
No interest will be charged if payments are made on time and settled in full.
No interest is paid on credit balances.
