Purpose
A newspaper is better than a magazine and on a
seashore is a better place than a street. At first it is
better to run than walk. Also you may have to try several
times. It takes some skill but it’s easy to learn. Even
young children can enjoy it. Once successful,
complications are minimal. Birds seldom get too close.
One needs lots of room. Rain soaks very fast. Too many
people doing the same thing can also cause problems. If
there are no complications, it can be very peaceful. A
rock will serve as an anchor. If things break loose from it
however, you will not get a second chance!

What in the World is an Onomatopoeia?
∗ What in the world is onomatopoeia?
Somebody please tell me what’s the big idea?
An onomatopoeia is a word that makes a sound.
What in the world is onomatopoeia?
Somebody please tell me what’s the big idea?
An onomatopoeia is a word that makes a sound.
Words like plop, plop, fizz, fizz,
Oh what a relief it is to know an onomatopoeia is a word that makes a sound.
Words like zip, zing, bling, bling,
Oh can you believe this thing,
An onomatopoeia is a word that makes a sound ∗
Words like wham, whack, pow, ow!
Including the sound of a cow (moo)
An onomatopoeia is a word that makes a sound
Words like splish, splash, whiz, whoosh,
It works like magic kerplunk, poof!

Interactive Writing
It’s the time of day when I love to say,
"Let's interactive write!”
Grab a marking pen because it’s time to begin an interactive write
You gotta use your noodle
and a magna doodle when you interactive write
So sit on the floor it’s the time we adore
When we interactive write
Let’s Move
Let’s move
Let’s move
Let’s move around the room
Let’s move
Let’s move
Let’s move around the room
Let’s move
Let’s move
Let’s move around the room
Everybody let’s groove
Now throw your hands up in the air
Raise the roof there’s a party in here
Now lean to the front and lean to the back
Turn around and give two claps
Move yourself from side to side
Come on everyone and do the hand jive
