Lemon drizzle cake Ingredients 150g sugar for cake plus 150g sugar for drizzle 150g margarine or butter 200g self-raising flour 1 tsp baking powder 3 eggs 3 tbsp milk 2 lemons( zest for cake, juice for drizzle) To make your lemon drizzle cake 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Preheat oven 180°C or gas mark 4. Line cake tin with greaseproof paper. Add all of the cake ingredients to a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer. Turn into a baking tin and bake for 25 minutes until the centre of the cake springs bake when lightly pressed with your finger. For the topping mix 150g of sugar with the juice from 2 lemons. Spoon over the cake while still hot and in its cake tin. Leave to cool. Cut into equal sized pieces. Remember a container to take your product home in!
