In lieu of free document shredding for all who attended, we requested food donations to donate to the Bethel Senior Center in Bethel, CT. We proudly donated over 100 pounds of food! Thank you for all who helped make this day a great success. November In part to help educate high school students on financial literacy, several SoundView staff and board members volunteered for a Financial Reality Fair. The fair was held Wednesday, November 4th at Western CT State University hosting over 300 high schoolers from across Connecticut. The fair teaches students how to budget when they enter the “real world.” For Thanksgiving, SVFCU partnered with Duracell to make two baskets of food for those locally in need. Forty-two baskets in total were collected for families to make Thanksgiving dinners. December SoundView participated in the annual Holiday Fruit Drive at Duracell. SVFCU made three fruit baskets for donation to low income senior residents residing at the Danbury Commons in Danbury, CT.
