MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of Covenant U is to help students identify, define, and strengthen their Godgiven calling and ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit in the integrity of God’s Word
by providing a challenging environment in which scriptural prophetic training is based on
the foundation of Hebraic thought and the original teachings of Jesus and Paul.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
What Is Gods Design For Covenant Marriage (HT-202) - God has a plan for marriage. A
study of the Torah and the Hebrew Scriptures affirms the dignity and purity of the marriage
relationship in several distinctive ways. Marriage and parenting will be viewed from a
Hebraic perspective compared to the traditional Christian culture in today’s family.
INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1) Students will recognize and identify the Hebraic view of Marriage and Family as
seen in the Torah and Hebrew writings as compared to traditional Christian culture.
COURSE OUTLINE:
Lesson 1: Hebrew Family and Marriage Part I
•
Student will demonstrate understanding of God’s design for Marriage and
Family.

Student will demonstrate the ability to explain comprehension of what the
Torah and Hebrew writings say about Family and Marriage

Lesson 2: Hebrew Family and Marriage Part II
•
Student will demonstrate understanding of God’s design for Marriage and
Family.
•
Student will demonstrate the ability to explain comprehension of what the
Torah and Hebrew writings say about Family and Marriage.
Lesson 3: Roles of Men and Women from a Hebrew Perspective
•
Student will demonstrate understanding of the roles of men and women
from a perspective of Torah and Hebrew writings
•
Student will demonstrate the ability to explain the difference between the
roles of men and women in marriage and family relationships
Lesson 4: Parenting from a Hebrew Perspective
• Student will demonstrate understanding of parenting roles and
responsibilities from a Hebrew perspective
• Students will demonstrate the ability to explain parenting from a Hebrew
perspective.
COURSE EXPECTATIONS:
Attendance: To benefit the most from each course, students are encouraged to actively
participate with other colleagues through class discussions and provide advance
notification to instructor in event of an absence.
Assignments: Students are expected to complete each course handout or reading
selection and complete class lesson study guide assignment including course discussion.
To receive the most out of their Covenant U experience students should critically reflect
through journaling, Bible study, prayer and intimacy with the Father.
Late Work: Each course reflection assessment will be submitted to the course instructor
up to the last calendar day of the course month. Should a problem arise or in an
emergency situation please notify the course instructor to make arrangements to
complete your assignments.
Academy Honesty: Students enrolled in the Covenant U are expected to maintain
academic integrity and honesty throughout each course. Any form of cheating or
plagiarism during reflections will be considered inadmissible.
Grading: Students will be graded fairly on each monthly course reflection using a grading
rubric based on students written demonstration of cognitive analyzing, application,

examination, evaluation, understanding, and creation of original interpersonal,
intrapersonal, and existential thoughts and ideas.
