WISHING WELL WEDNESDAY If you had just one wish, what would it be and why? *not an option to wish for more wishes WHAT IS THE HEALTH TRIANGLE? • Health – combo of physical, mental, and social well-being. • It affects everything about you. • How you look, feel, and act. • Your attitude and performance in school, work, and recreation. • How successful your friendships will be. • Determine some of your goals and your ability to accomplish them. What is Health? HEALTH TRIANGLE The 3 sides are interconnected. If one side receives too much / little attention, the other sides are effected too. To stay healthy, keep all 3 sides balanced. Physical Health • Physical Health - condition of the body. • To improve and maintain your physical health you need to: 1. brush teeth. 2. use safety gear. 3. eat right. 4. visit dentist. Mental/Emotional Health • Mental – solve problems and handle daily events. • Emotional – involves feelings • If you are Mentally/ Emotionally Healthy, you: 1. are patient. 2. manage stress. 3. know mistakes happen. 4. face challenges positively. How well can you manage obstacles on a daily basis? Social Health • Social - how you relate to people. • It involves: 1. strong relationships.(family and friends) 2. being friendly. 3. encouraging others reach goals. 4. being a good listener. Social Health
