WELCOME... To A beautiful resort located on the
west coast of the exotic island of zanzibar.
Driving into Sea Cliff Resort & Spa you know you have found
something special. The 4 km road through a coconut plantation
that leads to the hotel is a reminder of the Zanzibar of old.
Peace and tranquility, no other hotels or busy roads, just open
space and palm trees. With our traditional makuti roofs and
Arabic towers lit by brass lights, the hotel was built with our
location in mind. It is a unique combination of modern facilities
mixed with the original exotic architecture of historical Zanzibar.
The 120 room luxury resort is situated on a cliff overlooking the
Indian Ocean in Mangwapani and offers panoramic views from
the lounge, restaurant, bar and recreational area. Both infinity
swimming pools have wonderful views of the ocean. There is
also a jetty bar that offers the perfect place from which to enjoy
a sundowner, or you could sail on our dhow and watch the
beautiful sunsets that the West coast of Zanzibar is famous for.
96 of our rooms offer panoramic ocean views from the
bedrooms and private balconies, with all the modern facilities
that you expect from a international hotel, including iPod
docking stations and wireless internet.
The resort offers a number of activities for the energetic,
including a fully equipped gym, two tennis courts, a volleyball
court, a squash court and bicycles for rides through the coconut
plantation. There is also a water sports centre offering a wide
range of activities including water skiing, sailing and more. All
non-motorized water sports are free to hotel guests.
For guests wanting to relax and be pampered, we have the
Shwari Spa. With five treatment rooms offering a range of
treatments including manicures, pedicures, facials and massages
by our Thai therapists. The spa has two steam rooms and saunas
so you can truly enjoy your spa experience. After your treatment
you can take a swim in the spa’s private pool or sit and enjoy a
cup of herbal tea in our spa gardens.
The resort also has a full time children’s centre supervised by
professional child minders, offering Sony PlayStations and arts
and crafts to name a few.
The resorts convenient location makes it the perfect base from
which to explore the world heritage site of Stone Town.
