Central Swimming Short Course
And the boys followed up with silver in
Champs – Rotorua 12th – 14th August,
the same event.
2016
A team of 14 swimmers represented
Greerton two weekends ago. This meet
was a target meet for our 13and over age
group swimmers and was a great
opportunity to see where our swimmers
were at in the winter season.
Swimmer of the meet was Kate Kuka
who won two silver medals and made
finals for the 13 year old girls 50 and
100m breaststroke events.
The Greerton girls relay team (13-15
years 4 x 50m Freestyle) won bronze.

World Surf Life Saving Champs –
Rescue 16, Netherlands
We wish Libby Bradley all the best with her
upcoming trip to the Netherlands to
compete at the World Junior Surf Life Saving
Champs. Libby is part of the youth team
(Under 18) - Junior Black Fins. Libby recently
attended a Junior Black Fins camp where the
team had to complete the entire worlds
programme in 2 days. This meant Libby
raced all of her 7 pool races in 2 hours. They
also completed the beach programme, which
was held at Mairangi Bay, in a nippy 16
degrees water temp – with no wetsuit!
