General Store Manager
Vera Bradley at Tanger Outlets Columbus - Sunbury, OH
Responsible to create the Vera Bradley experience through overall store operations and sales
management. Responsibilities include exceptional customer service, visual merchandising, staff
management, development and training, upholding store image standards, general store operations,
and sales goal achievement.

•Develop Vera Bradley loyalty by creating an outstanding experience for both associates and customers
•Hire, train, motivate and retain a team of qualified associates that communicate and represent the
Vera Bradley philosophy
•Responsible for the maintenance of the payroll budget and manage controllable expenses to maximize
profitability
•Lead the team with exceptional sales and strong presence while on the floor and communicating the
Vera Bradley brand aesthetic, philosophy and lifestyle to the sales associates and guests
•Act as a liaison to home office in determining policies and procedures specific to outlet stores
•Uphold the Vera Bradley brand standards through exceptional visual merchandising
•Oversee daily, weekly, monthly processes to ensure operational integrity
•Monitor onsite and offsite inventory to achieve ideal balance of top selling items in physical store
location to maximize sales opportunity
•Provide a clean, organized and inviting environment for both customers and associates
•Manage all human resource related tasks including recruiting, onboarding and I-9 compliance,
performance management, payroll and scheduling, health and safety, and store security
•Maintain a leadership role in the community
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
•High School Graduate or equivalent required
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Management or related field preferred
•Prior retail experience strongly preferred
•2+ years management experience required; or proven Vera Bradley management ability required
•Experience in specialty retail or outlet stores strongly preferred
•Experience with retail POS system a plus

•Strong sensory skills such as good eyesight, good hearing, and dexterity
•Valid driver’s license with good motor vehicle record, must be 21 years of age (only applies to locations
with company-owned vehicles)
•Ability to consistently lift 10-35 lbs; Occasionally lift up to 55 lbs with the ability to push or pull more
than 55 lbs
•Occasional overnight travel as required for company business
