Harter Shapes – Construction Details
Table Tops/Laminate, Veneer
Table Tops/Resin
Construction: Tops are 1” thick and constructed with a laminate, or veneer face, 100% recycled particle-board core, then
edged and backed with moisture-resistant coverings to form a
completely sealed outside surface. Tops are shipped pre-drilled
for easy assembly to bases.
Construction: 3form Chroma tops are 1” thick, feature 1/8”
radius edges that have been beautifully polished with ghosted
backing.
Material:
Table Top Laminate: Wilsonart, and Formica in various
patterns and colors.
Wood veneer and solids: European steamed
Beech, quarter-cut, slip-matched, stained
and/or clear-coated.
Edging
Wood trim, ApplePly®, laminate self-edge, or
2mm ABS.
Core
Particle board, MDF, or ApplePly (plywood).
Backer
Moisture-resistant material, such as Polyback
(phenolic resin paper), to provide stable, balanced construction.
Finish:
Veneer Maple is a natural stain on maple species. All
others are stained on quarter sawn white oak.
Edging Wood stained (if applicable) and clear-coated
ApplePly®: clear-coated.
Chroma surfaces are mounted to the table base utilizing a 3/4”
thick particle board substrate. The particle board permanently
bonds to the Chroma with a double-sided 3M tape product.
The substrate is pre-drilled for mounting and is shipped with
complete instructions and positioning template for installation
in the field.

Table Tops/Glass
Construction: 3form® pressed glass tops are 7/16” thick and
feature a rounded, polished edge. The interior color is pressed
between clear glass and backed with a white out layer. The
glass is mounted to the table base with a 3/4” thick particle
board substrate. The particle board substrate permanently
bonds to the glass with a double-sided 3M tape product. The
substrate is pre-drilled for mounting and is shipped with complete instructions and positioning template for installation in the
field. The standard size substrate is 16” in diameter, except on
those tables noted below.

Chroma is an eco-friendly resin-based material
with a renewable matte finish. Chroma colors
have a ghosted back to provide an opaque
design hiding both the substrate and the
mounting hardware.
