Financial Literacy
All questions have money involved. Each of the teams in a heat gets the
same three questions and 2 minutes to work it out as a group. Groups
submit answers on white boards.
Q1 Grapes cost £0.40 for 100g How much for 3kg?
Q2 30 bags of potatoes cost £60. How much would 11 bags cost?
Q3 Adam can buy a football for £1.75. He sells them for £2.50.
Adam buys 4 footballs. Then he sells them all. How much profit
does he make?
Q4 9 pens cost £3.15. How much do 3 pens cost?
Q5 Karen wants to go on a school trip. The cost is £125. She has
paid a £35 deposit. How much does she still have to pay?
Q6 Marian takes out a bank loan of £4000 over two years to pay for a
