This is the last musical Shabbat service for this season. Shabbat shiur study group 9 - 9.30am: Everyone welcome. The Shabbat service begins at 9.30am followed this week by an iyun with Arnold Zable and Henry Nissen. Weekly Torah Portion: Parashat Vayikra / פרשת ויקרא Torah: Leviticus 1:1 - 5:26 Haftarah: Isaiah 43:21 - 44:23 Shabbat ends: 8.04pm From the President We had a wonderful, busy week hosting Rabbi Yonatan, Merav and Tifferet Sadoff. I would like to thank all of our members who attended the Wednesday shiur, Thursday workshop, Shabbat services, dinner and more. Special thanks to Jo and Steve Silver, for hosting the Sadoffs in their home, and to Samantha Davis for looking after Tifferet on a number of occasions. Thanks, too, to all who helped with the various dinners and functions at homes and at Kehilat Nitzan. Rabbi Sadoff and Merav shared much of their lives with us and we were able to do the same in a short time, introducing them our kehilah and Jewish community as much as we could. Rabbi Sadoff’s davening, leyning and teaching were very much appreciated and enjoyed. His sessions with the Board and other committees were open, interesting and very valuable for him and for us. Rabbi Sadoff and Merav frequently remarked on just how warm and welcoming our kehilah is. Someone remarked to me that “we put on a good show”. I agreed but with a correction: this wasn’t a show. The hospitality and friendship you extended to the Sadoffs is indicative of just who we are. Thank you all.
