We made it! The dust has settled on another amazing summer playscheme. We had
our fair share of challenges with keeping everything going over multiple sites (including
our first ever schemes in Camberley), some extremely variable weather, juggling
minibuses and a fair bit of chaos as we thought on our feet and sometimes had to
change plans last minute! Despite all that though, we had a fantastic time with your
children, young people and adults, who all made it so much fun. We're sure they had a
great time too. I'd like to give a particular thanks to our brilliant team for all their
dedicated hard work over the summer, well done to each of you.
Now of course, our thoughts turn towards our annual celebration of the past year, the
Awards Dinner and Dance on Saturday 26th September, 7pm at The Holiday Inn
Woking, which you should have received your invite to a few weeks ago. This evening
is always a brilliant opportunity to look back on the year and celebrate all that our
amazing Linkers have achieved, as well as saying a big thank you to our hard­working
staff and volunteers and our many generous supporters. Some more details are below
(or click here.) I really hope as many of you as possible will be able to come and join us
for what is always a fun evening!

Phew..... another summer playscheme
all finished, can you believe how quickly
that went? I hope each and every one of
you had an absolutely brilliant time, I
know we all did! It was especially
exciting to be running in Camberley for
the first time ever and we're looking
forward to future plans there. For
parents and carers of Linkers, a
summer feedback survey will be sent to
you soon. We really want to hear your
thoughts and suggestions, good or bad.
Although we can't action every idea, we
do want to keep getting better so all
feedback is really helpful!
Over the summer, a number of you
have said how much your Linkers
enjoyed their time with us and asked
what else we run during term­time. For
those who did, I'd love to encourage any
aged 12­19 to think about joining one of
our weekly Youth Clubs or even just to
try them out. Woking Youth Club runs
from The Link every Tuesday in term­
time 7­9pm while Blink runs in
Camberley on Wednesdays, also 7­
9pm. If you're interested, let me know!

Adult Services News
What a summer, it's been a blast! But
now we head back into another busy
term and the fun isn't all over
because Linkafé will be reopening on
Monday 7th September along with all
our free weekly café groups.
We're very excited for you to come and
try out the new menu so pay us a visit
from Monday to Friday, 11am­3pm for
a drink, elevenses, lunch or an
afternoon snack! For those of you who
work in the café, you should already
have spoken with one of us about the
new rota, but if you're ever unsure, just
give us a call.
It's also almost time for
another Mayhem on Friday 11th
September. Join us at Quake between
7­11pm for another evening of
phenomenal music, dancing and fun.
The theme is "Summer's Over....Back
To School" so the (optional) fancy dress
theme is school uniforms! The last two
Mayhem dates for the year are Friday
23rd October and Friday 11th
December.

What Else?
Well done to each and every one of you
for all your energy, smiles and efforts
throughout the summer. Our
playschemes simply wouldn't happen if
it weren't for you so put your feet up and
take a well deserved break!
Many of you will be heading back to
school, college or university, not to
mention those going back to your
'normal' job but please do stay in touch.
We would love to see you again in the
holidays (for the playschemes which run
in all 6 school holidays through the year)
and we also run a number of term­time
groups throughout the week, so there
are plenty of opportunities to suit all
sorts of diaries/schedules! Do get in
touch with me if you want to know more.
As well as Awards Night coming up, we
also have our biennial Fundraising Ball
coming up in November. If you think you
could help us source any quality raffle
prizes for either of these events, please
speak to someone in the office team.
