PETTY OFFICER C J DIXON – HMS CALLIOPE Petty Officer Chris Dixon joined the Royal Naval Reserve in 1999. He is currently serving as a Petty Officer (Warfare) at HMS CALLIOPE. Self-employed, Petty Officer Dixon works as a Risk and Security Consultant providing advice and physical security for Corporate clients and their interests, both at sea and on land, in some of the world’s most hazardous areas. PO Dixon started his RNR career as a Mine Warfare rating before specialising in Above Water Force Protection. He has deployed with the regular Navy on multiple occasions, most notably during the Second Gulf War. Promoted to Petty Officer in 2012 he is now head of CALLIOPE's Warfare department. Throughout his career PO Dixon has consistently supported the delivery of broader Command objectives and he is one of a very small number of RNR Petty Officers who is a fully qualified Ship's Protection Force Manager, Range Control Officer and Army Team Medic Instructor. He is a dedicated Senior Rate and an invaluable member of the unit's leadership team. For his valuable contribution to the Royal Naval Reserve, his effective leadership of HMS CALLIOPE's Warfare branch and his unstinting support in the delivery of Command objectives Petty Officer Dixon is awarded the Lord Lieutenant's Certificate for Meritorious Service.
