Itinerario: Santiago de Compostela- Finisterre
Duración: 4 días(*)
Kilometros: 89 kilómetros.
Objetivo: obtener la Fisterrana, acreditación que refleja que has llegado hasta el “fin del
mundo” (distinta a la Compostela). En latín “finis terrae” significa literalmente eso: “el fin del
mundo”, tal y como se conocía en la antigüedad, que se pensaba que no había tierra más alla
de este punto.
Alojamiento: Hoteles, pazos y casas rurales con encanto, equivalentes a hoteles de 4*.

Casi desde el descubrimiento del sepulcro del Apóstol Santiago (s. IX), determinados
peregrinos decidían prolongar su viaje hasta la Costa da Morte, que era considerada para los
antiguos la punta más occidental de Europa en la antiguedad, el tramo final de un itinerario
marcado en el cielo por la Vía Láctea. (tb. llamada en la antigua tradición el carro de Santiago)
El final de la tierra conocida. Durante todo el camino el Camino hemos caminado de Oriente a

Occidente siguiendo el curso solar. Ahora contemplaremos como el sol se oculta sobre el mar
desde Muxia, para terminar nuestro tránsito)
A partir del s. XII, el Códice Calixtino vincula estas tierras con la tradición Jacobea y señala que
los discípulos de Santiago viajaron a Dugium, actual Fisterra, buscando autorización de un
legado romano para enterrar al Apóstol en Compostela y que allí fueron encarcelados.
Lograron huir con la ayuda de un ángel y, a punto de ser alcanzados en el río Támara (Tambre),
cerca de Negreira, cruzaron un puente que se derrumbó al paso de la tropa romana que los
perseguía.
La tradición Jacobea del Finisterrae gallego se fundamenta en dos de las devociones más
populares de Galicia; el Santo Cristo, en Finisterre, y la Virgen de la Barca, en Muxía, que según
la tradición acudió a este hermoso lugar en una barca de piedra para darle ánimos a Santiago
en su predicación.

Nuestra ruta comienza en la plaza de Obradoiro de Santiago, meta del resto de los Caminos.
Pasaremos por pequeños pueblos, como Quintans, y un poco más adelante cruzaremos el río
Roxos sobre precioso puente (ver foto). Es una etapa bastante llana, aunque con algún
repecho como la subida al Alto do Mar de Ovellas. Descansaremos en el puente que cruza el
río Tambre (ver foto abajo).

Por la tarde, visitaremos la encantadora villa de Padrón, (antigua Iria Flavia) donde la tradición
cuenta que llegó la embarcación que traía el cuerpo del apóstol Santiago (pincha aquí si
quieres saber más sobre la leyenda)
Negreira- Santa Mariña (20 kms)
Etapa un poco más dura que la anterior, por la primera parte de la etapa que es un poco más
empinada, aunque nada imposible que no se pueda realizar al ritmo de cada uno. Además es la
parte más bonita de la etapa, al circular por densos bosques de pinos y eucaliptus, alternados
con maizales y praderas

Por la tarde nos acercaremos a visitar otra de las rías bajas, la ría de Muros (ver aquí), agreste
y salvaje, con unas vistas impresionantes.

Santa Mariña – Marco do Couto (22 kms)
Las vistas del embalse de Fervenza y del río Xallas nos acompañarán durante la primera parte
de nuestra travesía, invitándonos a recuperarnos del esfuerzo en sus frescas aguas. En la
segunda parte, andando por las laderas del
monte Castelo (foto), podremos disfrutar de
la vegetación típica de la zona, con pequeños
bosques de tojos, pinos y eucaliptus.

Como visita por la tarde, visitaremos la
espectacular desembocadura del río Xallas
(ver aquí), aunque el horario del mirador es
muy restringido. Si por esta causa no es
posible la visita, se sustituirá por la visita a la
villa de Olveiroa.

Marco do Couto – Finisterra (26 kms)
Desde antes de llegar a la mitad del camino ya se puede divisar el Cabo de Fisterra, en una
preciosa vista. Tras una segunda parte en la que pasaremos por enormes playas y el
monumento al peregrino, llegaremos a nuestro destino, el Finis Terrae de los latinos y celtas, el
punto más al oeste de toda la tierra que se conocía en la antigüedad. Un precioso faro
conocido como “La Sirena” nos dará la bienvenida y nos invitará a volver en futuros
peregrinajes.
Por la tarde veremos la increíble puesta de sol (ver abajo), mientras realizamos el antiguo rito
de dejar atrás lo viejo para sustituirlo por lo nuevo

1. Traslados nacionales (ida y vuelta). En avión/tren o en furgoneta de lujo (dependiendo
de la opción escogida) desde Madrid hasta el lugar donde se comience el Camino (no
incluyen los viajes de conexión al punto de salida (Madrid), aunque podemos ayudar
con su gestión). Habrá viajes en fechas ya establecidas en los que la forma de viaje
esté definida y no se pueda modificar.

MÁS INFORMACIÓN
Comidas: comer en el Camino será una de las mejores experiencias de todo tu viaje. Basada en
productos frescos (pescados, carnes, verduras), que harán las delicias de los paladares más
exigentes. Los restaurantes elegidos combinan las comidas más sabrosas, los vinos que mejor
se adaptan a dichas comidas, y una atención excepcional. Indícanos cuando hagas tu reserva si
tienes algún tipo de alergia o intolerancia, y nosotros lo gestionaremos con los restaurantes.
Alojamiento: Todos nuestros alojamientos son hoteles con encanto o Pazos. Los pazos son
casas tradicionales gallegas de gran calidad, en plena naturaleza y con baño privado en cada
habitación (equivalentes a hoteles de 4*). Con desayuno incluido. Tras disfrutar de una noche
de descanso en estos alojamientos podrás iniciar tu etapa con una sonrisa!
La travesía: los guías van a asistir a los peregrinos en todos los momentos del viaje. Pero
además se puede solicitar (sin coste) que acompañen al grupo durante la caminata. El guía
podrá comentar los puntos de interés de la jornada así como cualquier duda respecto a lo que
veamos (historia de los lugares, tipos de bosques, características artísticas…)
Nuestros guías se distinguen por su discreción y amabilidad. Han sido y son peregrinos como
vosotros y conocen bien lo que queréis.
Los peregrinos caminarán a su propio ritmo. Con las paradas y descansos que se necesiten.¡
Esto no es una carrera! El objetivo es disfrutar al máximo y para eso cada uno irá a la velocidad
que quiera. Se acordará antes de empezar la jornada los puntos de encuentro, donde nuestro
vehículo te esperará con un pequeño tentempié (snacks, bebidas, fruta). Si por cualquier razón
no pudieras o no quisieras continuar, este vehículo te recogerá en cualquier parte de la etapa y
te llevará al destino de ese día.
Nadie se pierde. El Camino está muy bien señalizado con sus inconfundibles flechas amarillas
(¡al finalizar tu viaje las echarás de menos, y creerás verlas por todas partes en tu lugar de
residencia!). Si decidís que el guía camine a vuestro lado, imposible perderse. Y dispondréis de
teléfono móvil para contactar con la organización del viaje en caso de necesidad y recibir
llamadas de vuestros familiares y amigos.

El vehículo de apoyo, además de trasladar a los peregrinos que no puedan o no quieran
caminar, y trasladará todo el equipaje de los peregrinos hasta el siguiente hotel, trasportará las
bebidas y los snacks, el botiquín y todo lo necesario para cualquier imprevisto. Las personas
caminarán a su propio ritmo y disfrutarán de su Camino como lo deseen.

Vestimenta: cada época del año tiene distinta climatología. Te daremos un listado
completísimo con todo lo que tienes que meter en tu equipaje para que sólo te dediques a
disfrutar de tu experiencia.
Se dispondrá siempre de un botiquín muy bien surtido en el que podremos aliviar cualquier
problema médico simple (ampollas, dolor muscular). Uno de nuestros guías además es técnico
sanitario diplomado.
Nuestros guías hablan perfectamente inglés e italiano (y español, claro). No os preocupéis si
no habláis ni una palabra de español. Ellos solucionarán todas vuestras necesidades.

En la mayoría de las etapas, y de forma totalmente opcional (puedes quedarte en el hotel
descansando si quieres), tras la comida y un tiempo de descanso, se realizarán visitas a los

Ever since the discovery of the tomb of the Apostle Saint James in the IX century, several
pilgrims decided to extend their journey to the Costa da Morte (Death Coast) , which was
considered in all times the westernmost point in Europe, the last stretch of a journey signalled
in the sky by the Milky Way (also known as Saint James chariot. The end of the known Earth.

All along the Way we have walked from the East to the West following the course of the solar
system. Now we will be able to see how the sun sets across the sea from Muxia)
From the XII century, the Codex Calixtinus links these lands with the Jacobean tradition and
says that the disciples of Saint James travel to Dugium, present Fisterra, looking for an
authorization from the Roman Legacy to bury the Apostle in Compostela where they were
imprisoned. They manage to escape with the help of an angel and when they were about to
get caught in the river Támara(Tambre), near Negreira, they crossed a bridge that fell down
while the Roman troop that was chasing them was crossing it.
The Jacobean tradition of the Galician Finisterrae is based on the two most popular devotions
in Galicia; the Santo Cristo, in Finisterre and the Virgen de la Barca, in Muxia, who according to
tradition came to this beautiful place in a stone boat to encourage Saint James in his
preaching.

Our route begins at the square of Obradoiro de Santiago, goal of the rest of the Ways. We will
cross little villages, like Quintans, and a bit further we will cross the beautiful bridge over the
river Roxos (see photo). It is quite a flat stage; even though we will encounter some steep
slopes like the ascent to the Alto do Mar de Ovellas. We will take a break on the bridge over
the river Tambre (see photo). We

In the evening, we will visit the charming village of Padrón (formerly Iria Flavia) where the
tradition tells that the boat carrying the remains of the apostle Saint James arrived. (Click here

This stage is a bit harder than the previous one, since the first half is steeper, although nothing
impossible that cannot be achieved at your own pace. Besides, this is the nicest part of the
stage, going through thick forests of pine trees and eucalyptus, alternating with cornfields and
meadows.

The view from Fervenza reservoir and river Xallas will accompany us on the first half of our
journey, inviting us to gain back our strength in its cool waters. On the second half, we will
walk on the slope of Mount Castelo (photo),
while we enjoy the typical vegetation of the
area with small forests of gorse, pine trees
and eucalyptus.

Marco do Couto – Finisterra (26 kms)
Before getting halfway you can already see the cape of Fisterra, in a lovely view. On the second
half of the walk we will come across huge beaches and the monument to the pilgrim, after that
we will reach our destination, the Finis Terrae (the End of the Earth) of Romans and Celts, the
westernmost point in the old times. A beautiful lighthouse, known as the “Mermaid” will
welcome and invite us to future pilgrimages.
In the evening we will see the astonishing sunset (photo) as we follow the ritual of leaving
behind the old to be replaced with the new.

Meals: eating along the Way will be one of the best experiences of the Way. Cuisine based on
fresh products (fish, meat, vegetables) that will delight the most distinguished tastes. The
chosen restaurants combine the tastiest meals, the wines that go best with each dish and
extraordinary service. Tell us when you make your reservation if you have any kind of food
allergies or any food intolerance and we will take care of it and talk to the restaurants.
Lodgings: All our lodgings are charming hotels or Pazos. Pazos are traditional Galician houses
of great quality, in touch with nature and with private bathroom in the room (they are the
equivalent of a 4 star hotel). Breakfast is included. After a relaxing night in these lodgings you
will start the day with a smile on your face.
The journey: the guides will attend the pilgrims at any time. But they can also go with the
group (at no cost) along the Way. The guide will be able to comment all the touristic places as
well as answer any questions that may arise (history of the places, types of forests, artistic
characteristics…)
Our guides are distinguished by their discretion and kindness. They have been and still are
pilgrims like you and they know well what you want.
The pilgrims will walk at their own pace. They will be able to stop whenever they need to, this
is not a race! The main purpose is to enjoy as much as possible and that is why each pilgrim
will walk at a different speed. At the beginning of the route we will arrange the meeting points
and where our vehicle will be waiting with snacks, drinks, and fruit. If you cannot or do not
want to continue walking, this vehicle will pick you up anywhere along the route, and will take
you to the place you were meant to arrive.

No one gets lost. The Way is very well signalled with the famous yellow arrows (at the end of
the journey you will even miss them and you will see them everywhere in your place of
residence) If you decide you prefer that the guide walks with you, it is impossible to get lost.
And you also have the mobile phone to call us in case of emergency and also receive phone
calls from your family and friends.

ASSISTANCE
The support vehicle, apart from transporting the pilgrims who cannot or do not want to walk it
will also transport the luggage to the next lodging, it will carry the drinks and snacks, the first
aid kit and anything you may need in an emergency. People will walk at their own speed and
will enjoy the Way as they like.
Dress attire: each time of the year has different weather. We will give you a full list with
everything you need to carry in your luggage so that you only have to enjoy the experience.
A first aid kit fully equipped will help us solve all minor health problems (blisters, muscle pull).
One of our guides is a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Our guides speak fluently English and Italian (and Spanish of course). Don’t worry if you don’t
speak a word of Spanish, they will solve all your problems.

In most stages, there will be visits to the touristic places nearby where you will be in touch
with nature, get the most out of art, admire the landscape…and remember they are always

Kilometer: 89 Kilometer.
Ziel: Die Fisterrana zu erhalten, eine Urkunde, die beweist, dass sie bis zum “Ende der Welt”
gekommen sind (anders als die Compostela). Auf Latein heiβt “finis terrae” wortwörtlich das:
“Das Ende der Welt”. Man hat nämlich früher gedacht, dass hier die Erde, ab diesem Punkt,
tatsächlich zu Ende war.

Fast nach der Entdeckung des Grabes des Apostels Jakobus im IX. Jahrhundert, entschieden
sich mehrere Pilger dazu, den Weg bis nach Costa da Morte, zu verlängern. Dieser Ort wurde
früher als die westlichste Spitze Europas bezeichnet, dar dies so am Himmel, an der

Milchstraβe, zu interpretieren war. (In der Antike auch der Wagen des Jakobus genannt. Das
Ende der bekannten Erde. Während unserer Route sind wir von Osten nach Westen gegangen,
und haben den Lauf der Sonne gefolgt. Um den Weg hier zu beenden, werden wir den
Sonnenuntergang hinter dem Meer von Muxia aus, sehen.)
Vom XII. Jahrhundert aus, verbindet der Codex Calixtinus dieses Land mit der JakobusTradition, und deutet, dass die Jünger des Jakobs nach Dugium, heute Fisterra, gereist waren,
um nach Erlaubnis zu bitten, um den Apostel in Compostela begraben zu dürfen und, dass sie
dort eingekerkert wurden. Sie schafften es mit der Hilfe eines Engels zu fliehen und kurz bevor
sie fast am Fluss Támara (Tambre) aufgeholt wurden, überquerten sie die Brücke, die dann
zusammenfiel, als die Römertruppe, die sie verfolgte, gerade über sie lief.
Die Jakobus-Tradition von Finisterrae stützt sich auf zwei der beliebtesten Verehrungen von
Galicien: Der ’Santo Cristo‘ in Finisterre und die Jungfrau ‘Virgen de la Barca‘ in Muxia, die der
Tradition nach, an diesem schönen Ort, auf einem Steinschiff, angekommen waren, um
Santiago bei seiner Predigt zu unterstützen.

Unsere Route beginnt am Platz ‘Plaza de Obradoiro de Santiago‘, der das Ziel der restlichen
Routen ist. Wir werden durch kleine Dörfer, wie Quintans, wandern, und ein bisschen weiter
vorraus werden wir den Fluss Roxos über einer wunderbaren Brücke überqueren (Bild sehen).
Es ist eine Flachebene, auβer der kurzen Strecke bergab zum ‘Alto do Mar de Ovellas‘. Wir
werden eine Pause auf der
Brücke, die über den Fluss
Tambre (Bild sehen) geht,
machen. Die Nacht werden wir in
Negreira, A Coruña, verbringen.

Am Nachmittag werden wir die charmvolle Stadt Padrón (früher Iria Flavia) besuchen. Die
Tradition erzählt, dass in dieser Stadt das Schiff, das den Körper des Apostels Jakobus brachte,

2. TAG: Negreira- Santa Mariña (20 Kilometer)
Diese Strecke ist etwas schwieriger als die davor. Der erste Teil geht mehr bergauf, aber es ist
nicht unmöglich, wenn jeder sein eigenes Tempo hat. Es ist auch die schönste Strecke der
Etappe, da sie durch dichte Tannen- und Eukalyptuswälder, Kornfelder und Weiden, geht.

Am Nachmittag werden wir eine andere Bucht der ’rías bajas‘ besichtigen, die Bucht ‘ría de

3. TAG: Santa Mariña – Marco do Couto (22 Kilometer)
Durchaus des ersten Teils unserer Route, werden wir von den Aussichten des Stausees
‘Embalses de Fervenza‘ und des Flusses Xallas, begleitet sein. Dort werden wir in dem kühlen
Wasser wieder Kraft holen. Im zweiten Teil,
werden wir durch den Bergabhang vom
Monte Castelo (bild)wandern, wo wir die
typische Vegetation, mit kleinen Tannen- und
Eukalyptuswäldern, genieβen werden
können.

Als Nachmittagsausflug, werden wir die
spektakuläre Einmündung des Flusses Xallas
(hier clicken)besuchen, obwohl die
Öffnungszeiten des Aussichtspunkts sehr
beschränkt sind. Wenn es wegen diesem Grund nicht möglich ist, werden wir diesen Ausflug,
durch einen Besuch der Stadt Olveiroa, ersetzen.

4. TAG: Marco do Couto – Finisterra (26 Kilometer)
Vor der Ankunft an der Hälfte unseres Weges, können wir schon den ‘Cabo de Fisterra‘ in einer
wunderschönen Landschaft besichtigen. Nach einer zweiten Strecke, an der wir durch riesige
Strände und dem Monument an die Pilger vorbeigehen, kommen wir an unserem Ziel an, das
Finis Terrae der Lateiner und Kelten. Dies ist der westlichste Punkt der Erde, der in der Antike
bekannt war. Der wunderschöne Leuchtturm ’La Sirena‘ (Die Meerjungfrau) wird uns dort
begrüβen und wird uns dazu einladen in späteren Pilgerfahrten wiederzukommen.
Am Nachmittag werden wir den unglaublichen Sonnenuntergang (bild) sehen, während wir
den altertümlichen Brauch folgen: Etwas Altes zurücklassen, um es durch etwas Neues zu
ersetzen.

1. Inland Transport (hin und zurück). Flug-, Zugreise oder Luxus-Wagen (hängt von der
gebuchten Option ab) von Madrid bis zum Startpunkt des Caminos (beinhaltet nicht
den Transport bis nach Madrid, aber wir können sie darüber beraten). Es gibt jedoch
Reisen an bestimmten Daten, an denen die Route schon vordefiniert ist, und deshalb
nicht geändert werden kann.
2. Charmvolle und qualitätvolle Unterkunft (vergleichbar mit 4* Hotels) mit Badezimmer
im Schlafzimmer und Frühstück.
3. Leiter: Assistenz (immer) und Begleitung während des Wandern (optional). Auf
Englisch, Italienisch und Spanisch. Einer unserer Leiter ist sogar ausgebilderter
Sanitäter!
4. Tägliches Assistenz -Fahrzeug für den Gepäcktransport und für den Fall, dass ein Pilger
nicht mehr wandern möchte oder kann.
5. Snacks und Getränke am Mittag zur Verstärkung.

Mahlzeiten: Die Mahlzeiten während des Caminos, wirden eine der besten Erfahrungen der
Reise. Sie enthalten frische Produkte (Fisch, Fleisch, Gemüse) und sind köstlich für den feinsten
Geschmack. Die ausgewählten Restaurants kombinieren das beste Essen, mit dem passenden
Wein, und einer auβerordentlichen Sorgfalt. Teilen sie uns bei der Reservierung mit, ob sie
irgendwelche Allergien haben, und wir werden es für sie in den Restaurants bescheid wissen
lassen.
Unterkunft: Alle unsere Unterkünfte sin charmvolle Hotels oder Pazos. Pazos sind traditionelle,
ländliche Häuser in Galicien, von sehr groβer Qualität, und mit eigenem Badezimmer im
Schalfzimmer (vergleichbar mit 4* Hotels). Frühstück inklusiv. Nachdem sie hier die Nacht
verbringen, werden sie den neuen Tag mit einem Lachen beginnen!
Die Reise: Unsere Leiter werden während der ganzen Reise zu ihrer Verfügung stehen. Sie
können aber auch dazu (kostenlos), einen Leiter während des Wandern, anforden. Der Leiter
kann ihnen Auskunft über die Sehenswürdigkeiten geben (Geschichte der Orte, Waldtypen,
Eigenschaften der Kunst...)
Unsere Leiter sind für ihre Diskretion und Freundschaft bekannt. Sind sind Pilger wie sie und
wissen genau was sie wollen.
Die Pilger haben ihr eigenes Tempo. Mit den Pausen, die sie brauchen. Es ist kein Wettrennen!
Das Ziel ist das meiste zu genieβen und dafür hat jeder die Geschwindigkeit, die jeder möchte.
Sie werden jeden Tag darübert informiert werden, wo die Treffpunkte sind, wo unser Fahrzeug
auf sie, mit Snacks und Getränken, warten wird. Wenn sie an einem Punkt nicht mehr wandern
möchten oder können, kann dieses Fahrzeug sie an jeder Strecke abholen und bis zum Ziel des
Tages bringen.
Niemand verirrt sich. Der Camino ist sehr gut mit gelben Pfeilen gekennzeichnet (Am Ende der
Reise werden sie sie vermissen, und glauben, sie überall zu Hause zu sehen!). Wenn sie sich für
einen Leiter während des Wanderns entscheiden, wird es ihnen unmöglich sein, sich zu
verirren. Sie werden sogar ein Handy haben, um sich mit der Organisation in Verbindung
setzen zu können und, um Anrufe von ihrer Familie und Freunde zu erreichen.

Unser Assistenz-Fahrzeug transportiert sowohl diejenigen Pilger, die nicht mehr wandern
möchten oder können, als auch ihr Gepäck zum Hotel, die Getränke und Snacks, den
Arztkasten, und alles was nützlich sein kann. Die Pilger werden ihr eigenes Tempo haben
können und den Camino so genieβen, wie sie es möchten.

Kleidung: Jede Jahreszeit hat verschiedenes Wetter. Wir werden ihnen eine vollständige Liste
mit den Sachen geben, die sie umbedignt im Gepäck mitnehmen sollen, damit sie nur noch die
Reise genieβen können.
Wir werden immer einen vollen Arztkasten für kleine Umfälle dabei haben (Kratzer, Blasen,
Muskelzerrung). Einer unserer Leiter ist sogar ausgebilderter Sanitäter.
Unsere Leiter sprechen perfekt Englisch und Italienisch (und natürlich Spanisch). Machen sie
sich keine Sorgen, wenn sie kein Spanisch sprechen. Sie werden alle ihre Bedürfnisse lösen.

In den meisten Etappen werden freiwillige (sie können sich auch im Hotel ausruhen, wenn sie
es lieber möchten) Ausflüge zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten, nach dem Essen und der Pause,
organisiert. Dort können sie die Kunst, die Natur und die Landschaft genieβen. Der Eintritt ist
dabei inklusiv im Preis.

Itinerario: Santiago de Compostela- Finisterre
Durata: 4 giorni (*)
Chilometri: 89 chilometri.
Obiettivo: ottenere la “Finisterrana”, attestato che testimonia che si è arrivati alla “fine della
terra” (distinta alla Compostela). In latino “finis terrae” significa letteralmente: “ fine della
terra”, perchè anticamente si pensaba che non esistesse terra al di là di questo punto.
Alloggio: Hotels, “pazos” e case rurali affascinanti, equivalenti a hotels a 4*.

Quasi subito dopo la scoperta della tomba dell’Apostolo Giacomo (secolo IX), alcuni pellegrini
decisero di ampliare il loro viaggio fino alla Costa da Morte, considerata anticamente la punta
più occidentale d’Europa, la tappa finale di un percorso segnato nel cielo dalla Via Lattea .
(chiamata anche nella tradizione antica il carro di Santiago. Il punto finale della terra

conosciuta. Durante tutto il Cammino ci siamo spostati da Est a Ovest seguendo il percorso del
sole. Adesso potremo contemplare come il sole tramonta sul mare da Muxia, per terminare il
nostro tragitto).
Il Codice Calixtino vincola queste terre, dal XII secolo in poi, alla tradizione “Jacobea” (di
Giacomo) e indica che i discepoli di Giacomo viaggiarono a Dugium, l’attuale Fisterra, per
chiedere il permesso a un mandatario romano di poter seppellire l’Apostolo a Compostela e li
vennero incarcerati. Grazie all’aiuto di un angelo riuscirono a scappare e proprio mentre
stavano per essere raggiunti nei pressi del fiume Tamara (Tambre), vicino a Negreira,
attraversarono un ponte che si ruppe durante il passaggio delle truppe romane che li
inseguivano.
La tradizione “Jacobea” del Finisterrae galiziano si basa su due devozioni molto conosciute in
Galizia; il Santo Cristo a Finisterre e la Vergine della Barca, a Muxia, che secondo la tradizione
arrivò in questo splendido luogo su una barca di pietra per incoraggiare l’apostolo Giacomo a
compiere la sua predicazione.

Il nostro percorso comincia nella Piazza di Obradoiro di Santiago, meta degli altri Cammini.
Passeremo per piccoli villaggi como per esempio Quintans e un pò più avanti attraverseremo il
fiume grazie a un ponte molto carino (vedere foto). Si tratta di una tappa abbastanza piana,
anche se in alcuni punti ci saranno delle pendenze come nel caso della salita del Alto do Mar
de Ovellas. Faremo una sosta nel
ponte che attraversa il fiume

Nel pomeriggio visiteremo la cittadina di Padròn, (conosciuta anticamente come Iria Flavia)
dove, secondo la tradizione, arrivò la barca che trasportava il corpo dell’apostolo Giacomo
(clicca qui per saperne di più della leggenda).
Negreira- Santa Mariña (20 km)
Tappa un pò più dura della precedente poichè la prima parte è un pò ripida, ma niente di
impossibile e che ciascuno può realizzare a suo ritmo. Peraltro, è la parte più bella della tappa
poichè si snoda per fitti boschi di pini e eucalipti intervallati da campi di grano e prati.

Nel pomeriggio visiteremo un’altra delle “Rias Bajas”, la “ria de Muros” (fai click qui) aspra e
selvaggia con viste mozzafiato.

Santa Mariña – Marco do Couto (22 km)
Durante la prima parte del nostro tragitto odierno, ci accompagneranno il bacino di Fervenza e
il fiume Xallas e potremo riprenderci dagli sforzi compiuti facendo un bagno nelle loro fresche
acque. Nella seconda parte, camminando per
le pendici del monte Castelo (vedere foto),
potremo vedere la vegetazione tipica della
zona, con piccoli boschi di ginestre, pini ed
eucalipti.
Nel pomeriggio, visiteremo la diga sul fiume
Xallas, anche se l’orario di apertura
dell’osservatorio (fai click qui) (mirador in
spagnolo) è piuttosto ristretto. Se per questo
motivo non sarà possibile realizzare la visita,

andremo a vedere la città di Olveiroa.

Marco do Couto – Finisterra (26 km)
Ancor prima di arrivare a metà strada, possiamo intravedere il Capo Fisterra. Più avanti, dopo
essere passati per grandi spiagge e aver visto il monumento del pellegrino, arriveremo a
destinazione, al Finis Terrae dei latini e dei celti, il punto più occidentale di terra che si
conosceva anticamente. Saremo accolti dal faro conosciuto come la “Sirena” che ci inviterà a
ritornare nei nostri futuri pellegrinaggi.
Nel pomeriggio vedremo il meraviglioso tramonto (vedere foto) e compiremo l’antico rito per
abbandonare il vecchio per il nuovo

1. Trasferimenti nazionali (andata e ritorno). In treno/aereo o van di lusso (dipende
dall’opzione scelta) da Madrid a dove comincia il cammino (non sono compresi i viaggi

ULTERIORI INFORMAZIONI
Pranzi: il mangiare sará una delle esperienze migliori di tutto il viaggio. Sará basato su prodotti
freschi (pesce, carne e verdura) che faranno felici i palati dei piú esigenti. I ristoranti scelti
offriranno i cibi piú saporiti, i vini piú adatti e un servizio ineccepibile. Al momento della
prenotazione si prega di indicare la presenza di eventuali allergie o intolleranze alimentari per
poter gestionarlo con i ristoranti.
Alloggio: Tutte le sistemazioni scelte saranno hotels o “Pazos”. I “pazos” sono case galiziane
tradizionali immerse nella natura e con bagno privato in ogni stanza (sono equivalenti a hotel
di 4*). Prima colazione inclusa. Dopo aver passato una notte in queste case potrai cominciare
la nuova tappa con un sorriso smagliante!
Il viaggio: le guide accompagneranno i pellegrini durante ogni momento del viaggio. In piú si
puó chiedere che le guide siano presenti anche durante il cammino senza costi aggiuntivi. La
guida sará in grado di spiegare i luoghi di interesse e risolvere tutti i dubbi delle attrazioni che
incontreremo durante il cammino (storia dei luoghi, tipi di boschi, caratteristiche artistiche…)
Le guide se distinguono per la loro discrezione e gentilezza. Sono stai e sono pellegrini come
voi e quindi sanno bene quello di cui avete bisogno.
I pellegrini cammineranno alla velocitá che meglio gli venga. Fermandosi e riposando quando
ne abbiano bisogno. Non si tratta di una gara! L’obiettivo del cammino è quello di godere di
questa esperienza per cui ciascuno andrá alla velocitá che preferisca. Prima di cominciare ogni
tappa si decideranno i punti di incontro dove si troverá il nostro veicolo con uno snack (uno
spuntino con bevande e frutta). Se per qualunque motivo qualcuno non volesse o non potesse
continuare a camminare, questo veicolo vi verrá a prendere dovunque voi siate e vi porterá
alla destinazione del giorno.
Nessuno si perde. Frecce gialle inconfondibili indicano il cammino (alla fine del viaggio ti
mancheranno le frecce gialle e penserai di vederle dovunque!). Se poi decidete di farvi
accompagnare dalla guida, sará impossibile perdersi. Avrete anche un cellulare per chiamarci
in caso di bisogno e per ricevere le chiamate della vostra famiglia e de vostri amici.

Indumenti: ogni stagione ha un clima diverso. Vi daremo una lista completa di tutto quello che
dovrete mettere in valigia per non dovervi preoccupare di nulla se non godere di questa
esperienza incredibile.

Il mezzo di supporto, oltre a portare i pellegrini che non possono o non vogliono camminare e
a muovere tutti i bagagli al prossimo hotel, trasporterá le bevande e gli snacks, il kit di primo
soccorso e tutto il necessario per qualunque imprevisto. Voi potrete camminare alla velocitá
che volete e godere del cammino del miglior modo.

Avremo sempre a portata di mano un kit ben fornito per alleviare qualunque tipo di problema
medico semplice possa sorgere (vesciche o dolori muscolari). In piú una delle nostre guide é un
técnico medico professionale.
Le nostre guide parlano perfettamente inglese e italiano (e ovviamente spagnolo). Non vi
preoccupate se non sapete parlare spagnolo. Le guide risolveranno tutti i vostri problemi.

Nella maggior parte delle tappe e solo per chi volesse (se si preferisce si puó rimanere
nell’hotel a riposare) dopo pranzo e dopo aver riposato un poco, si visiteranno i luoghi piú
interessanti della zona, godendo dell’arte, della natura e dei paesaggi di queste localitá…Le
entrate, se necessarie, sono incluse.
