KAISERMAN
DR. HARRY M.,O.D., died on November 25,
2012 in Ocean City, NJ. He was born and
raised in the Logan section of Philadelphia,
graduating from Olney High School. He was
starting center on the men’s varsity basketball team, (earning the nickname “Elbows.”)
He attended Temple University before transferring to the Philadelphia College of Optometry, from which he graduated in 1953, winning the Honor Society Award. DR. KAISERMAN started his practice in Philadelphia,
where he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Optometric Society.
After 13 years, he moved his practice and his
family, wife LEONA (DAVIS) and children,
JILL, RONALD, and SHARI, to Mahanoy City,
PA. He became involved in small town life
immediately, as a Rotarian, an Elk, and a volunteer fireman. One of his proudest accomplishments was being elected as a Democrat
to the position of Director on the mainly Republican School Board. After 13 successful
years as the town’s only optometrist, opening
practices in the neighboring towns of
Shenandoah and Frackville as well, DR. KAISERMAN retired and moved to Margate, NJ.
Within two years, however, he left retirement
and became a successful investment broker
at AG Edwards. DR. KAISERMAN’S quick wit
and sense of humor were appreciated by all,
even those who were objects of his practical
jokes. Six years later, he retired permanently,
moving to Boynton Beach, Florida, where he
resided for 16 years. He returned to Margate
to be closer to his daughters and their families, after the tragic death of his son, RONALD. DR. KAISERMAN is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, LEONA, his daughters
and sons-in-law, JILL KAISERMAN and CALVIN CIZEK, and SHARI and GREG REID and
six grandchildren whom he adored: BRIAN
and REBECCA CIZEK, AARON and ALEX
REID, and SYDNEY, FLOYD and RORY KAISERMAN. In addition, he is survived by his
sister SYLVIA MORDELL, nephews and
nieces. Contributions in his name may be
made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

EDITH LIT KANTOR, age 91, long time Philadelphia resident and more recently of Winter
Park, passed away on Sunday, December 2,
2012, at Winter Park Memorial Hospital.
MRS. KANTOR was born on May 24, 1921, in
Dayton OH to the late ABRAHAM and PAULINE TOVELMAN KIMELMAN. She moved
with her family to Philadelphia as a young
child and attended the Philadelphia High
School for Girls and married ARTHUR LIT after graduation. An entertainer, EDITH spent
many years singing and performing on stage.
EDITH remarried in 1948; this time for nearly
forty years to DAVE KANTOR, until his death
in October 1987. She was the featured
singer with her husband's band, the DAVE
KANTOR Orchestra, performing at weddings,
bar mitzvahs and other celebrations in and
around Philadelphia. She was an avid opera
fan and could be heard singing arias throughout her home. She relocated to the Orlando
area in 1994, to be closer to her daughter and
her family, but with the understanding that
she would live alone doing that which she
loved - exercising, walking, listening to her
favorite operas. Above all, she was a loving
mother and grandmother. EDITH is survived
by her son PAUL (SHIRL) LIT of Denver and
her daughter BONNIE (JOHN) GRILLAKIS of
Casselberry and her grandchildren MICHAEL
(ROBIN) GRILLAKIS and BRAD GRILLAKIS
and her great-grandson JULIAN. In addition
to her husband, she was predeceased by her

LEE NITZKY died of cancer on December 1,

JUDY (NEE) ORMAN, whom he met at summer camp at the age of 12; four daughters,
STEFANIE GETZOFF (RICHARD), KIMBERLY,
SARA, and REBECCA; three grandchildren,
JULIA, MATTHEW and RYAN GETZOFF. He
is also survived by his sister, SHEILA WEINER (JEFFREY), and by numerous nieces and
nephews. His brother, DAVID, died in 2005.
Although he adored his family, Lee was uncommonly attached to his work. He literally
grew up in the lighting business, United Light
Company, founded by his grandfather and
then carried on by his father, HENRY.
HENRY saw to it that LEE and his late brother
learned the business from the ground up.
LEE would often come home reciting catalog
numbers of items he could not get out of his
head. After his family and his work, his passion was golf, and he played even when deep
into his illness. He enjoyed golf so much, in
fact, that - unlike many passionate golfers he even played with his wife soon after she
learned the game. Only those closest to him
were aware of his illness. He wanted no special treatment from his friends, and, amazingly, worked until two weeks before his
death, even though he could barely get to his
car. Nor did he ever complain about the intense pain he was suffering. Lee never asked,
"Why me?" as many afflicted with a similar
disease might have, but instead remained
steadfast until the end, leaving his wife, children, and friends a legacy of strength, courage, and integrity that will always be remembered.

Judaism isn’t just what we believe, or the prayers
we recite or the laws we observe. It’s also about
the way we live. How we interact with others.
The values we practice. The customs and traditions
we embrace and pass down, from one generation
to the next.

PROVERBS 3:15
She is more precious than rubies and all the
things thou canst desire are not to be
compared unto her.
Length of days is in her right hand;
In her left hand are riches and honor.
Her ways of pleasantness
and all her path are peace.
She is a tree of life
to them thay lay hold upon her.
And happy is everyone that holdeth her fast.
How profoundly we miss you
Dear ARLENE
never to forget you.

NANCY ROSE TANNENBAUM
September 30, 1954- December 27, 2008
Four years ago, it happened
In a blink of an eye.
Our Nancy was taken from us
Without a chance to say good-bye.
We think of you with love, every single day
Missing your crazy laugh
and all you had to say.
You left a huge void in our lives,
when you went away.
But in our hearts and minds,
you will forever stay.
With our love,
Missy, Michael, Meredith,
Mommy and Daddy
