Chemical formula of Etidot-67 is Na2B8O13.4H2O
and theoretically it contains 14 % Na2O, 67 % B2O3
(20 %, 1B) and 19 % H2O. Although Etidot-67 is
nearly alkaline when low concentrated solution is
prepared it is neutral for high concentrated
solutions. For its production boric acid and borax
decahydrate are used as raw materials.
Some Applications and Benefits
Fertilizer
In agricultural industry to provide balanced nutrition for plants and to get high quality yields,
nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium-based fertilizers is not efficient alone. All the necessary
nutrients for the plants generally are expected to be available within the soil or fertilizer used. For
nutrition of plants, there are certain elements that should not be neglected by modern
agricultural industry. These elements are faced with the quality factor appears to be the
assessment of industrial agriculture. Most important of these elements is boron which causes in
case of both deficiency and excess in soil.
The products grown in soils low in boron cannot be accessed the highest efficiency, quality and
durability. To continue growth and development of a plant and for meristem tissues, the building
blocks of the plant, a certain amount of boron is required to be taken by roots in a continuous
way. Etidot-67 is a boron fertilizer that is specially developed for agriculture and it can be used as
a solid or a liquid for soil and foliar applications.

Low concentrations of boron are required for plants but high concentrations of boron have toxic
effects on plants. High doses of boron are used as herbicide to control weed. It is used effectively
for removal of weeds especially road and rail edges.
Pesticides: Insect / Pest control
High concentration application is used as pesticide.
Wood preservation:
In order to protect wood materials from harmful organisms like fungus, Etidot-67 is used as a
fungicide.
